Ok so I've read all the reviews and decided today was the day to go have some dessert, because our dinner sucked royally and needed a pick me up to end the night out on a good note. The snow room in the cafe was a pretty fun touch. The desserts they serve were certainly fun and just the goodness we needed. We ordered the chocolate snow ice, the small one, certainly, it was enough for two to share as a dessert. I'm used to the Taiwanese snow ice and this is certainly something new. Reminded me of the snow ice, but the ice was really flakey and soft, super fun for the palette. The chocolate wasn't overly sweet and was just plain enjoyable. We were already eyeballing the menu for our next visit and scoping out the other tables. It all looks so good!! If you need a cool pick me up This should certainly do the trick! We hope to visit again soon and try everything eventually : A la cuisine! Stay hungry my friends! Since the past weeks have been very, very hot and humid, I've been craving for cold desserts. My new favorite dessert at the moment is Bingsu! While I was down South, my friends and I decided that it would be great to end the night with something icy to cool down. We actually weren't sure where to get Bingsu but, thankfully, we found this hidden gem at Molito. Bingsu is basically the Korean version of shaved ice or halo halo. Imagine soft, icy snow with condensed milk poured on top then add any toppings of your liking: from mochi to fresh fruit to brownies! We arrived almost to closing time but they still allowed us to order. There was a bit of wait since we were the last order and they ran out of ingredients and had to prep for more. So, we waited for about minutes. While we were waiting, we decided to hangout in their 'Snow Room'! Pretty cool making snowballs! Among the 3 that we ordered, the best was actually the Injeolmi! It's was the most traditional one and it was also the most flavorful. It had the right amount of sweetness and it was packed with ingredients. The Mix Berry Yogurt was tart and had dried fruit which added the sweetness. The Mango Bingsu was a winner. But, I always ended up going back for more spoonfuls of the Injeolmi! The one common factor for all the Bingsu we ate though is that the ice was sooo fine, fluffy and creamy. One of the best quality bingsu I've tried so far! I will definitely come back when I'm in the South again. I hope I'll be able to try their Cheese Bingsu next time! See all photos from Joey R. Got so full from dinner but want to satisfy your sweet tooth? Try their bingsu or Korean 'halo halo'. It's a light, creamy concoction with their shaved ice as the star. Just the right sweetness to curb your craving! The menu features several flavors of bingsu. Mango was a bit too tart and topped off with buco lychee sherbet. Overall complementing. Didn't opt to try the mixed berries as they're frozen not fresh. One small serving can be split by two people. Another unique feature of this cafe is their snow room! Get ready to build a snowman really now and experience winter. A tiny portion of Ice Flower is converted into a wonderland of sorts- actual snow falling from the ceiling! The Good: Great place for authentic Korean Bingsu! The Pro-Tip: Come early, if you can! And they have a Snow Machine! Honest truth: I've never seen snow! So when Joey told me about this Bingsu place in Alabang that has a snow room, I couldn't get there fast enough! Having just come from Seoul, I had high expectations for this place as Bingsu in Korea was still fresh in my memory. Don't worry, this place did not disappoint! The best part about the Bingsu is the texture of the ice - It's not like shaved ice, it's fluffier and carries the flavor better. On top of that are fresh, quality ingredients and you have yourself a winner! Too bad we weren't able to try their cheese variant. Finally, the highlight of this trip was a snow room! You read that right - they have a room with falling snow! It's a small, L-shaped room with vents where the snow falls down. The snow is pretty fluffy close to the real thing, I am told and is pretty similar to the snow they use for their Bingsu! This place is perfect for cooling off or a snowball fight on a hot summer's day or evening. Will we be coming back: Yes, when we're in the area! We'll try the aforementioned Cheese Bingsu! Pros: the Bingsu was really goood! If you're a fan of super fine shaved ice and milk melting in your mouth, you're in for a treat. We ordered the red bean and the mango bingsu, and we enjoyed every bit of those desserts. They have a snow room, which is really nothing but a room filled with shaved ice and some shovel, but my Frozen-fanatic little girls loved it. Of course they would love it. It's snow. In Manila. Cons: I just think the bingsu is tad overpriced for its serving size, and there's not a big selection of food on the menu. I would have loved it if the place offered more food so that I can enjoy it while my kids play in the snow area. Despite that con, we'd still be back for bingsu and two words: snow room. Probably one of the best korean halo halo I've tasted. This place is hella dope, so i recommend this to the people out there, who haven't tried really good bing su. Also its cheaper then the other bing su places and its the same amount. But they gotta change there cheap glass snow room, i honestly think its not safe But overall i like the bing su. Walking around Molito across street from Alabang Town Center and came across this place. Loved it! This place was a great find. The snow room was very interesting.
