This was a 5 hour flight with no entertainment and with a snack being provided pretzels and fruit bar , which are both high in carbs and sugar. Nuts would have been a better choice. The food was better than usual! The plane was so gross and dirty. Literally saw dust layering and flowing out the grey vents. Dust was all over the air vent knobs to the point where I took my sani wipe and cleaned them down so at least it wasn't blowing my my face. Also, I upgraded and paid for Wifi and it's always so spotty. I get we are in the air, but don't charge for it if it's not going to work. I expect so much more from United. They really are giving up. Actual flight was smooth but we were delayed 70 minutes. Were promised to make it up to us but were given no refreshments. Flight was cancelled and I got rebooked with anther airline. Also had booked a direct flight and got a layover. Very nice. Crew was excellent and our seats had great legroom which we paid extra for so I highly recommend this option when flying internationally. Zero legroom or space in economy. Flight was delayed into Munich causing a missed connecting flight and other missed bookings. Not good. A major problem at the Frankfurt terminal. You see your connecting flight is on concourse A and you see signs for A, but when you start to walk out to A, only then do you find A is in another terminal which requires a bus ride, passport control and customs. If you sit around in the first terminal too long, you can miss your flight. We made ours. Connecting from Germany with not enough time to go thru TSA and security so many times. I made it with 5 min before my zone was called. Too stressful. It was good overall. Entertainment was ok, one of the TV screens had issue. Bit old plane but leg space was good. Overhead luggage had good space. The worst part was experience at Heathrow airport, it was total chaos. Comfortable, pleasant staff, quiet, good entertainment, food, drinks. Better than American flight back when we were crammed in and staff sometimes indifferent. I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the fact that I was not given a toiletry bag for an overnight international flight. Paid for business class. It was burning up the entire flight. For a 7 hr flight, after the first few hrs. The crew disappeared. Poor service. One frustration after another. No gate personnel until very close to departure. Boarding procedure was chaos. Plane was dirty from previous transatlantic flight. Entertainment system not operational. Gate change for connecting flight which required another round of security clearance, almost causing a missed flight. The final blow was lost baggage upon arrival. CVG to London was a good flight. Thank god the plane was not full. We arrived in London 10 minutes early. Had it not been for handicap assistance I would have missed my connection. Had it not been for the extra 10 minutes because we landed early I would have missed my flight. Not the airlines fault but I never want to miss a flight because of the blunder in London. Sorry British Air but your home needs better management. Food made us sick for the rest of the day. Terrible passenger in front of me kept reclining and banging his seat, it hurt my knee multiple times. I kindly asked the attendant to intervene, she would not. Way too many sick people coughing on the flight without wearing a mask. Sick passengers should not be allowed to fly unless they wear a mask. I hope we don't get sick for our 2 week vacation.
