I went on holiday with my partner far away to celebrate our anniversary and we were super lucky and got an upgrade to one of the duplex with golf views, absolutely beautiful and massive for the 2 of us, but it was a bit disappointed as the room was not clean enough and the housekeeper had to come to clean the bathroom a bit better and also the horrible stains on the floor in the room but after that everything was perfect and we were very happy. The hotel is very good located if you are looking for a quiet place to stay far away from the hubbub but be aware that you need to take taxi to get the beach or rent a bike or a car, walking distance is not an option. The swimming pools are really good and you have plenty of space to sunbathing. The staff at the hotel are exceptional and with a high level of customer service and always willing to help, special mention to Martin from the restaurant and also Raul and Diana from the Reception, very good customers service and happy to help. The breakfast was really good and we were very impressed with plenty of variety for everyone and the staff really efficient. On the negative side we would like to mention that we would have liked a small touch from the hotel to say congratulations as we got engaged and we mentioned to Diana and Raul from the Reception and also to Martin but not a small little thing to say congratulations like a card or 2 glasses of prosecco or kind of. Very Good 43 Reviews. If you're a wheelchair user, please make sure to let the hotel know with plenty of notice. I use a wheelchair that doesn't fold and I couldn't get into my room without taking the wheels off as there's a wardrobe immediately as you enter the room. Fortunately, I am able to walk and only use my chair for longer distances. We stayed in that room for one night and they were happy enough to swap me into a different room in the morning. That first night was awful. There were concerning dips in the floor and the noise from being next to the ocean was so loud, plus the wind rattles the windows, it sounded like I was lost at sea. The receptionist was lovely and upgraded us to a family room, no issues, though I hope for the sake of others that there are double rooms available that are more accessible, not just family rooms. The family room was luckily on the other side, so it was totally silent. The breakfasts were quite stale and the milk for the cereal was warm so stuck with the crepes every morning. We did have dinner here one evening but unfortunately, when I got to the dessert stand, there was a cockroach crawling on the food. They were very apologetic and gave both of us a glass of wine as an apology, but then still had to pay full price on the meals. Fortunately, we did bring an extension cord as there weren't many sockets and not all of them even worked. There were no ceiling lights, just plug in lamps, which made it quite dim at night. The pool is barely heated but it takes a few seconds for your body to acclimatise. The mattress is quite firm and I found the pillows were far too high. Also beware that the hotel is on a VERY steep hill. Luckily, I can actually walk quite well in hot weather but I was definitely out of breath when I got from the bottom of the hill to the hotel. The WiFi is awful and I ended up just using my data. The zoo is well worth visiting though and it's a very short distance away. As you come into the hotel, it's got a huge lovely lobby which was lovely to sit in, so it really surprised me how poor everything else was. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Food was amazing, a lot of different tastes every day. Places for children prepared very well. Hotel is splitted into different areas. If you travel with children you get the room closly to the pool for children and playground. If you travel adults only you get the nice room close to the swimming pool for adults only. In a great location for us, and also a very short walk from the number 10 bus stop which goes to the south airport. Air conditioning was very good and room safe was large enough to hold my laptop. Breakfast was very tasty. I did wonder if the smell was something else but then I noticed the previous room occupants had placed a shower cap over the detector, so my guess was likely correct. The staff are nice but the main reason we used to stay here was the pool. However that now does not open until Therefore on arrival it was closed and on check out day you cannot use it at all. The bar has no draught beer Many people were trying to order during those times but nobody was there to take their orders. Sat and Sun there were 30 people plus on the roof until 8pm and wanted to spend their money but could not! Some days there was a life guard sitting by an empty pool and other days when the pool was busy.. The Aircon works but is noisy. The TV is an antique and most channels do not work. There was a heatwave but you get one free water each on day one but no more than that even if you pay for 7 or 14 nights. Wifi works but you have to login everyday. Hotel is in a great place but Las Palmas is noisy, dusty and a little fragrant at times! The receptionist were brilliant even with a slight language barrier , some are multilingual in any event , my advice learn some words in Spanish helps a lot! Now i know this is an adult only hotel so i was expecting the hotel to be loud in the evenings until the early hours , and while this was at the end of June i heard little in the way of noise passed 1am. I nearly cancelled my reservation for this hotel due to poor ratings so when I arrived my expectations were low. To my delight, as I entered the hotel, the decor was tasteful and it smelled great. Front of house polite and helpful though we did have to wait until 3 for our room so if you are hoping for an early check in do pay for it. While we waited, we went for a walk and then chilled by the roof plunge pool. The sun loungers by the pool are excellent quality; however, at the weekend you are lucky to get one there are only about 12 available. Upon entering the neat and compact sea view with a balcony room all was as I expected, comfortable bed, decent pillows, good quality shower no shampoo so bring your own out buy at the local supermarket. I requested more at reception and a maintenance man came and adjusted the wardrobe within minutes. Bathrobe was absent from my room so again I requested one and it was quickly provided. The view is exceptional from the spacious balcony which has functional table and chairs but no loungers. The room was incredibly quiet. We are vegetarian and there was plenty for us to enjoy. Christmas dinner was something out of this world been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match. That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. The place is good, but maybe there are better hotels for the same price. Caleta de Fuste Beach is ideal for exploring the island because it is in the center of it, with a car you have 1 hour up and another hour down from this hotel to go to the best beaches. You can also relax on the hotel's beach with a very beautiful artificial pool made by the sea. Gran Oasis Resort. Visited with my husband and two year old son for ten days on an all-inclusive basis. Prior to our visit, we were a little concerned about the food due to recent negative reviews however we need not worry. The food was wonderful; plentiful, well varied and tasted great. We had no issues finding something to our preference and always had something to fill our plate. Evening meal consisted of themed nights with Asian on Fridays and Mexican on Saturdays being our favourite. They also have a snack bar for during the day should you not want to sit in the main restaurant offering the likes of hotdogs, burgers, chips, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, pastries and self served soft drinks and fruit juice. Drinks likewise were great with a range of cocktails being included on the all inclusive such as mojito, blue lagoon, whiskey sour, be happy, sex on the beach, a small amount of mocktails were also included. Bar staff are very generous with measures, and we never found queue times in particular long. The animation team are great. So enthusiastic and really go above and beyond. Shelby especially was fantastic with our little boy, and he got involved in some of the activities. There is always something going on for all ages on a daily basis. My husband got involved in the likes of darts and water polo. There's also the mini disco that runs on an evening at 8pm with lots of songs and dances before the main entertainment at 9. On a Wednesday, they have a foam party around 12 for an hour followed by a bbq and a visit from the giant panda mascot. Thursday is a disney party and Saturday pirate party. There is an onsite splash park open daily manned by a lifeguard at all times comprising of two small slides and tipping buckets in one part and the other a larger slide. Our son is younger than this. However, was able to use the small slides under adult supervision, which he loved. The hotel is around a minute transfer from the airport, so it is very convenient, and there is no noise to be heard at the hotel from planes, etc. On arrival , we missed the evening meal and so the hotel provided a small picnic style packed lunch consisting of sandwiches and water. The hotel isn't particularly central and in walking distance to much and a 25 minute walk. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus at certain times of the day, although they are limited. The rooms are set over two floors with a fully equipped kitchen consisting of everything you can possibly need and more with the children's bedroom being upstairs. Prior to our visit, I emailed the hotel numerous times requesting a stair gate for our young son, and all my messages went ignored. I even messaged them on Instagram, to which they replied, advising i had to send an email. On arrival, there was no stair gate. This was our second visit after enjoying a trip a year ago. We enjoyed our visit this year again. The hotel is lovely - especially the rooftop area - plenty of sunbeds, plunge pools and a bar. The food is good with lots of variety. If you can't find something that you like i'd be amazed. We had a couple's massage in the spa which was amazing, The hotel's location is excellent as well, lots of local cafes if you fancy a change, excellent shops, a short walk to the promenade and beach, bus station close by if you want to explore further afield which we did. The staff are all lovely - friendly, helpful and they never stop. We will visit again! Enjoyed 2 weeks at the hotel on an all inclusive basis and had a great time. On arrival we had an issue with the air conditioning and after visiting reception they came to try and fix the problem. It turned out we needed a whole new unit and was sorted out very quickly. The bedroom was cleaned everyday, you were asked to put the towels in the shower if you wanted them changing and to put the note on the bed if you wanted the linen changing, however they were changed everyday without doing any of these. The rooms were very clean and the shower was always hot and the rain shower and normal shower were very powerful. The food in the dining room always had a good variety to choose from, however some food could have been hotter but there was a microwave if you needed to warm anything up. The staff were always friendly and cleared your dirty pots very quickly. The staff on the bar were very friendly, always happy to have a chat with you and they all got to know exactly what drinks you were wanting without you even asking them.
