Buying coke Hakuba

Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you! Note that this thread has not been updated in a long time, and its content might not be up-to-date anymore. How much does food cost in the snow regions? I think i will be eating more western style food and i heard it is alot more expensive. Also how much on average would a can of coke be? Does anyone know if Hakuba has a western style supermarket that i can make my own sandwiches etc for the snow? I will be snowboarding 5 days so i will really only be sight seeing in Tokyo. We are planning on going to disneyland is the food very expensive in there aswell? Thanks in advance! Many visitors have dinners and breakfast included in their accommodation. It depends on the food. There are lots of inexpensive 'Western' foods available at convenience stores, for example, sandwiches. Japanese supermarkets are the same as Western style supermarkets. There must be some in Hakuba, but I am not sure whether there is one close to the place you are staying. Convenience stores are another good food source for budget travelers. Again, I am not sure whether there is one near your accommodation. I don't think that food in Hakuba has to be expensive. As for Disneyland, considering the low food quality, it is definitely overpriced. But you can still get meals for around yen, which I consider reasonable. I've never found Disneyland food that expensive.. We had a yummy meal at the Queen of Hearts restaurant near Alice's tea cups Can of coke anywhere I've been in Japan was no more than Y Have a great trip by Jojo guest rate this post as useful. One of them is Apple Land, m away from the Hakuba station. Attached is their add run today. You will find similar add anytime. Check the add below so that you get some idea of the food and beverage cost and variety. Otherwise you eat at a restaurant in the ski resort area and pay some 2, yen already for your lunch. You buy a dozen of coke at a supermarket, the cost should be around 80 yen. Other choice is an idea of running to a Gusto for your breakfast for yen. They are located close to the Hakuba station as well. I don't think I have ever paid more than around yen for a lunch, e. Enjoy your trip. Question Forum Bookmarked questions Ask a new question. Have a great trip. In Hakuba, there are four or five supermarkets around. General rule is yen per meal but when you are there try as much as possible to eat at convenience store spending less like yen per meal so that end of the trip you can have good food with the remaining money or buy more souvenirs. How much Money will I need for 12 days. Hi, I am going to Hakuba for 7 days then Tokyo for 5 days. Re: How much Money will I need for 12 days.

Jan 1, 78, 50, 1, Melbourne Australia, often in Austin Texas. I guess it's been around years now, since Aokiko closed. At the time it was open, it provided the link resort between Sanosaka and Kashimayari, the 3 resorts combined being called Sun Alpina. With the three together on a common ticket, it made a really good additional option to the rest of the resorts at Hakuba I haven't been back to Sanosaka since, and only spent one or two half days on my way out of the Hakuba valley at Kashimayari. It would make sense for Sanosaka and Kashimayari to buy Aokiko, and link the two again, although the old chairs will likely be in poor condition by now. But I think it would increase the business there again. Crispy One of Us Ski Pass. I'm actually really interested in seeing if this gets picked up again. Is kashimayari worth a mid week powder day in its current form? These areas I reckon would get largely overlooked or bypassed on route to the bigger Hakuba resorts. Tanuki Old n' Crusty Ski Pass. Annabuzzy said:. Reactions: ladycamper. Sandy said:. IMO, Kashimayari is not worth yen day ticket in its current form. I've done it a couple of times as a half day, when it was cheaper, but even the half day is yen these days you could get it for around yen previously. When the three resorts were linked, it was definitely worth doing mid week, even with a full price day ticket. Of the three, Kashimayari has the most to offer. Strangely enough, I still have a course map!!!! Apr 17, 3, 4, warmer climes. Aokiko on it's own was a dead loss. If it wasn't for the two adjoining fields it would have sunk many years earlier. The only ones to buy tickets for Aokiko alone were the local schools sending kids for sports days. Last I heard was that the cables for the lifts are also now stuffed as well. A pity, as stated, the combined ticket was good value. Mid week, after a dump it was a good standby, particularly when it was windy elsewhere. Yeah for that price I'd head somewhere with more on offer. Was thinking this place might be similar to say Itoigawa Seaside - an abundance of beginner trails, but some fun to be had off the sides. There was a good write up on the SJ website though which had me keen to chance it on a big day mid week. I think the best idea for that place would be to cut it down to 2 lifts and try and see if they can cut any interconnecting trails that might make it a bit more interesting. Add in a park as well. Realistically, all you really need is two or perhaps 3 of the 5 lifts running at Aokiko, to link it all together. If they wanted to be bold - one new chair straight up to the top of the peak. As long as the terrain is suitable without any terrain traps or avi danger then you'd have three ways to come down. Cross over into both other resorts is easy too. View from the top would be amazing. The trick is, at that end of the valley, they get a lot less snow. So it can be snowing at Iwatake, but sunny down at Kashimayari. Best bet is to hit the blackish run at the top at the south end, as early as you can. And also off the sides of the cattrack off the highest course, at the northern end. Jun 9, 4, 3, Melbourne. Skied it on our first trip to Japan in 08 when it was all linked. Fun day out but pretty cruisy little mountain. Do you mean the top of the current peak chair on the right end of Kashimayari see map or do you mean further to the right? Even if it was further to the right north , it's still not possible for the average punter to get directly across to Sanosaka, because of the terrain. I mean, the average punter didn't ride down the goat track back into Aokiko, but downloaded on yhe chair The peaks there undulate, so it's not a straight crossing. Basically coming in below the first K of Aokiko. I'd add a mid-station around the top of the current 5 Lift. As I said, depending on terrain as to whether that would work or not. But if new owners had the cash to splash on a new chair, they'd also find some way to cut the right trails. All purely hypothetical. Maybe closer to under the last O in Aokiko. Could then possibly access all three resorts from this spur? You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads S. FS: Hakuba 6-day all mountain snow pass. Replies 3 Views Jan 31, Donza.
