Hey everyone, same question as above in this forum, but heading to Sandals Negril instead of Montegobay. Any suggestions, stories, etc? Went to Jamaica last spring break and it was the best decision I ever made. I assume you will be flying into Montego Bay. You'll get offered ganja right away even though there are police everywhere. Be cool and buy no more than a joint for your ride to the resort. You can also ask to stop somewhere along the way Don't buy more than what you can smoke along the way because you will be getting ripped off When you get to the resort and want to get some ganja there are a few options This is your safest option. They are annoying, but you will learn how to blow them off. In fact when they tell you how much, act like it is outrageous and offer a ridiculously low number. They will either understand you know what you are talking about and cut you a good deal or not. If not go find someone else You just need enough to make it till then. The real good stuff that the locals smoke is grown up in the mountains. Down by the resorts they may try to sell you schwag. If it doesn't look good, move on but remember this is grown outdoors. Not some hydro weed covered in dense crystals. Shop around and try to find some good varieties. Plus you will make friends with the local guys. Super potent. Best coke i ever did. Mushrooms are around too. Just make sure you inspect things first. Others have suggested going up into the mountains. It was the favorite part of my trip. I was also at an all-inclusive, but it was worth it. We met a guy at a beach bar one night and smoked with him all night. He said our ganja sucked and he'd take us up into the mountains the next day to his house and show us his fields. We took him up on the offer. It was a wild, crazy, scary and exhilarating day. Getting away from the tourists and meeting the real rasta men will give you a totally new view of Jamaica. We went up to this natural spring and swam in it. Our friend showed us all the natural fruits and showed us to a little cave where Bob Marley used to meditate. All the old rasta guys around were once friends of Bob. It was amazing talking to them. You will also find the best and cheapest ganja in the mountains. Have a great trip. Jimbo48 Active Member. Just came back from Negril Jimbo48 said:. Banditt Well-Known Member. My advice to you is don't buy from the first guy who offers it to you. I shit you not, as soon as you get off the plane while you are waiting for your luggage people are going to try to sell you some. Don't buy shit at the airport, those dudes sell schwag, and they overcharge as well. Weed is everywhere there, you will have been solicited multiple times before you even get to your hotel. Cab drivers and bartenders usually know where to get some good smoke. People will be blazing up all over so if you smell some good shit ask the people where they got it. Don't do any deals in or at your hotel. And remember, even though everywhere you go people will be blazing up, it is illegal there so watch out for the popo. If you plan to take a tour of some ganja fields, you might want to wait to buy any type of quantity until you do the tour. Usually the people who live on the plantations have the best smoke and they sell it cheaper then the dudes who are peddling it on the beaches and near the resorts. As for prices, last time I was down there I got what was roughly a few ounces I had no scale on me of some good good huge buds in a grocery bag for around 70 dollars US. It was more then enough to last me the week. In fact I left about an oz in the coffee pot in my hotel room since I couldn't finish it all. Hope that helps you out some. Have fun on your trip! It's quite the experience. Hey man your crazy police always on that shit! You need to watch Locked up abroad on nat'l geographic that shit will scare you to reality. Can anyone guide me about the price of coke? Just came back from Negril last night. Herb at the airPort is good to go. We had a welcome lounge at the airport for Couples resorts The Bartender at the lounge will hook u up. Just discretely say 'looking to party'. There is no need to venture far off of the 7Mile stretch before you get solicited. Just remember, these people are poor and the majority of Hustlers on the beach work for the 5 Star Generals up in the mountains. His price will drastically drop. Evileye New Member. Biggravy22 said:. Dude i'd advise you stay where my wife and I stayed. The royal decameron club caribbean in Runaway Bay. It cost us for 2 weeks. It's all cottages The staff is excellent. Well most of them. It's very easy to make acquaintances. Any quantity. Different strains. Just be sure to haggle. Keep your bud on the resort. Don't smoke off the resort. Unless you're in a place you can blend. Starting fine is about US so be careful. As far as being on the resort no one cares. Be careful of who you light up around, but when it's dark and everyone is drunk as fuck who cares? My advice is don't do anything there you wouldn't do at home. And if you do go to this resort I can call a couple people for you Super Toker Active Member. I got weed and cocaine at the bar when I stayed at the princess country club in the bahamas. I only smoke pot now. Ganju Well-Known Member. Dammit i know where my next vacation will be lol. Vapekush Active Member. This is just a sample of what's available in Negril. This shit got me almost to the point of being uncomfortably high at times. You will be offered coke almost as often as you're offered weed but I never asked about the price. I would be very worried about quality and contents when it comes to coke in Jamaica though, who knows what they're cutting it with. You must log in or register to reply here.
what can you tell me about going to jamaica and buyin weed
Buying blow Montego Bay
I had heard mixed reviews about Jamaica. That people are everywhere trying to get you to buy drugs. But, what really happened during our port stop in Montego Bay? A great and diverse travel group. I deal with this by planning. Planning usually helps calm me and makes me feel prepared instead of feeling anxious. And, it works, most of the time! So, based on everything I had read, Jamaica was a place where a plan was needed! I tried to heed that warning. Generally speaking, we are not a group that loves touring islands in a van. This was the first time any of us had been to Jamaica and many of the cruise line sponsored excursions included a two hour trip in order to get to that excursion. So, we opted to plan something where we could spend more time enjoying the area of Montego Bay and less time… in a van. This goal of mine will become humorous later. We were going to take a quick taxi to Dr. Caves Beach and spend some time walking around that area. Simple enough…and we could see Margaritaville from the ship. Bonus for safety, right?! When we left the ship, we ended up in a line of people waiting for transportation. Once we left the port area, the very charismatic driver pulled over and asked everyone if they wanted to go to the beach. He would also take us for special price shopping, give us a tour, wait with us at the beach and return us safely to our ship. It was at that point I knew that we would not be going to Dr. We had been baited by the promise of the van taking us to the beach we chose. We were switched into a much higher priced tour, with very few exit options. I began to panic. This was not the plan. Did we even bring enough cash? We first toured an area that he said was his neighborhood. He explained how people built their homes and how they got loans for each small part. People would work on a portion, add on, etc. It was interesting and hopefully gave our children an appreciation for their own cushy existence. Next stop was at a school that was hosting a summer day camp. The children were adorable and more than willing to have their picture taken. I will post a picture of our crazy crew. After the school we went to a large souvenir shop where our driver gave us a sticker to receive a special discount. You believe that right? There were a large quantity of Rated R ash trays at this shop. The kids settled on a t-shirt each and we moved on. Tip: If you have young children you may want to be careful when souvenir shopping in Jamaica. It may have been specific to this one but there were a lot of items for mature audiences. Not Dr. Caves Beach…but a beach. We sampled the local Red Stripe Beer and spent a couple of hours at the beach. The boys hopped on the waterslide and the rest of us enjoyed a few minutes of fun music and a Margarita. We were there for about a half hour and then we loaded back into the van and back to the ship. At the end of the day, it all worked out. And, we certainly had a little less cash in our pocket at the end of the day. But, we were all together and enjoyed our time. I was out of my comfort zone but I guess I need that sometimes. I know sometimes I need to be a little bit more flexible but other times I need to be more comfortable standing up and saying, no thank you, this is not what we asked for. TIP: If you are in a similar situation and you really want out. Tell the driver as soon as possible that the rest of your group was funneled into another taxi and that you are meeting them at a specific location. You are unable to call them and tell them that you are changing the plan. This is easier said that done because there is usually someone trying to quickly get vans filled and on to the next. Do you worry when you travel or get overwhelmed? Does planning help you? Have you been in a situation where you immediately knew you should have handled the situation differently?
