I checked disk usage - maybe idle is not idle right? Seems normal SSD appearance to me. Both WD and NV2 have no heatsinks etc. I've even opened a laptop again to check it and touch: yes, NV2 goes painfully hot. What else? TRIM is enabled and overall there's nothing special to make it perform like that. Even its location in laptop is a bit aside from hot parts and it doesn't go any hotter at gaming sessions.
