After clearing all of the junk out of my car to make way for people, we eventually set off at about am. It was a clear run down to Dover, which saw us arrive in plenty of time for our ferry. After a comfortable but unremarkable ferry journey, and a bit of time travel, we were in France! Haha, epic PTR Vadge! Sounds like you all had a great time. It sounds like the random dark ride you describe is Forest of Plop, it is highly amusing. Yay for Eric the snowman. Oh, makes me want to go back. Ian From CoasterForce Staff member. Social Media Team. A good balance of humour and gooness in there, Vadge - an entertaining read. I'm glad you liked Anubis, it's a fab coaster. The theme is pretty epic, too. Something like that would be a great addition to CWoA. I'm very jealous of the cheapo wine. Martyn B CF Legend. Oo, just what I needed I'm thinking of venutring here for my first driving trip abroad! Looks like a great little park. Did you use a Satnav? Great pics and report! No satnav required, just follow your nose and the signs. Come off the ferry and follow the signs for Dunkerque. The sliproad goes straight out onto the motorway. Follow the motorway for about 40 mins until you cross the border into Belgium it's literally just a sign, you could feasibly not notice it! I think it's the next turning that you want, but anyway, it's clearly labelled Plopsaland. At the end of the sliproad, take a left. Follow the road into the town, and go straight across the roundabout. Then just up the road, it's another left hand turn into the park. It's all really well signposted. The park is only about a mile from the motorway. Same for on the way back, just follow the signs for Calais until you get to the signs for the car ferry. It really couldn't be easier! I was quite nervous about driving on the wrong side, but it really wasn't a problem. I would definately recommend this as being an excellent first trip. Once you get out on the motorway it's no different to being in the UK really. The only slightly odd thing is turning left, but by the time you've got that far, you'll have the hang of it anyway. Oh, and there's no tolls on this stretch of road either, so that's soemthing less to worry about If you are going to go, we booked our park tickets in advance on lastminute. Definately worth doing. Check what stuff you need to drive legally over there and buy it well in advance. Ebay and the 99p shop will become your new best friends. Send me a PM or email if you need any more pointers. I want to go back to landofPlop soooo much! Cheers for the advice Vadge, much appreciated, but Click to expand Bloody hell, you Norfolk folk really don't know about what goes on in the real world, do you?! Vadge said:. Headlamp converters even in daylight. The requirement is to not dazzle oncoming drivers. It doesn't specify how you do that. So yes, you could use duct tape.
