Buying Ecstasy Cozumel

By trpjackson , February 6, in Cozumel. I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm going to ask again. Does anyone know the US policy on bringing prescription drugs back into the country? I'm not asking about controlled substances or antibiotics. I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. We will be in Cozumel in a couple of weeks, and I was thinking of buying some of my prescriptions there. Has anyone done this recently? To put it simply, you can purchase just about anything in Mexico without a prescription, but legally, to bring it home, it must be a drug that does not require a prescription in the US. Thanks for the info. I've been getting conflicting answers. Some people say you need a prescription only for controlled substances I don't want those. The CBP site only stated that you need a prescription for controlled substances pain type meds. It really does not state about non controlled substance prescrition medications. I'm confused!!! If you need a presciption in the US, then it is a controlled substance in the US, it's use is controlled by the doctors who issue the RX. Because they know that the United States tries to restrict this activity, the large chain pharmacies in Mexico sometimes also have a service for a physician to write you a prescription for the medication they are selling you. Just make sure that whatever you are bringing back to the United States is in a quantity for personal use. We have never purchased medications in Mexico, although we do purchase medications frequently in South America. I'm told that medications in Mexico aren't cheap like they once were so there is really no longer any major incentive to purchase them other than not having to go to the doctor. My SIL buys all kinds of medicines for her personal use especially migraine and motion sickness meds that are prescriptions here, just because it's cheaper for her than a prescription form her doc. I don't know what the law is, but she's never had any problem with it and does it all the time. I myself brought 3 OTC anti emetic pills given to me by a nurse in Africa that are not over the counter pills here in the US. They happened to be in my travel first aid kit, after she gave them to me for my DD, who didn't use them all. I never thought of myself as a drug smuggler! This is not something I would mess with; I'd find out the what the law is for sure before doing it. And be aware that drug manufacturing and quality control standards vary widely in other countries. We are planning to buy a prescription in Cozumel. It's not covered under insurance here and it's significantly cheaper there. We'll have a script for it though so I am not concerned. Have gone to Canada to buy the drug too and the script is the key for getting back into the USA with the med. Since you can pretty much get any prescription meds you want in Mexico including some pretty powerful pain killers I get it. Don't try for antibiotics though If I wanted to buy an antibiotic in Mexico I can or can't bring it back? I've always been a coward to even try When we were in Mexico last year, I asked one of the 'pharmacists' if I needed a script for antibiotics. He told me yes, but he would sell them to me anyway, and it would be our 'little secret. We hung out in the pharmacy for a while in Cancun Seems like after the swine flu the Mexican govt. Oh well. Not sure when Mexico stopped selling antibiotics to tourists, but I bought Amoxil sp? We have never had a problem with these items. Besides the legal considerations, I would be very, very careful about the quality of the drugs in Mexico. There are always horror stories about outdated, poorly transported or maintained ie, not kept cool and dry , and outright inaccuracies in the drugs. I guess I am not a big risk taker, but unless you are buying it at a well-known venue like a Walmart or Walgreens, or their equivalent in Mexico , I just can't see taking the chance of taking something that may be very dangerous just to save some money. I know drugs can be very expensive, but we are talking about people on cruises. If you can afford to take a cruise, do you need to take that kind of chance on potentially hazardous drugs?? You may have done it before with no bad effects, but the next time you might not be so lucky. Your body; your choice. Not for me. We buy antibiotics when we are in mexico. The quality seems fine. However on our last air travel trip to Mexico customs questioned if we had a script for the antibiotics. Just a heads up. I think customs on a cruise are more lax. I too would be worried about the quality. Is that not an issue for those that have gotten drugs? Is there one pharmacy better than another? I have always purchaced Votrin gel for my mom when I go. I usually get 2 tubes. We travel to Mexico a couple times a year and have never had any issue purchasing and bringing antibiotics Amoxcicillin and a migrain med back in our suitcases. We are leaving in two days and have a small list to pick up at the airport in Cancun. I've never had any trouble buying or carrying in personal amounts. We also get stuff all the time from the pharmacy My parents use to live in Mexico for 9 months out of the year and never had any issues with the medications they bought down there. Would someone please give me the name of the pharmacy s that are considered reliable in Cozumel? I appreciate it. Go to one of the grocery stores like Mega. We found they have the best prices. Avoid the one around the square. They were almost double the cost of Mega. We shopped loads of them last May and always returm to one of the main grocery stores. I recently ordered rx drugs from overseas. It went to customs in nyc. Customs had it for a couple of days and then released it to continue to my address. It is legal to purchase overseas for your personal use without a rx, up to 3 months at a time and you are allowed so many shipments per year. We used the Drugs and Souvenier Shop in the same downtown building as the Diamonds International a few weeks ago. Take the escalator upstairs and it will be on your right. Bobbie, the owner, will be glad to help you. They have a price list you can look at. I purchased Retin-A and Orlistat with no problem. Write An Amazing Review! Please be careful with pharmacy drugs in Cozumel

Buying Ecstasy Cozumel

By Uncwrn93 , October 26, in Cozumel. I see a lot of questions about is something available but does anyone have a list of what you can purchase without a script and the best pharmacy close to the port we're on Princess to buy if we want? They had a ton of prescription drugs available over the counter in Cozumel. I saw a lot of various antibiotics, diabetes meds, topical creams There was a pharmacy in the shopping center at the pier. Sent from my iPad using Forums. I've found the pharmacies in the ports Puerta Maya and Punta Langosta don't have the best variety of meds. They are in the downtown area on the waterfront which is close to Punta Langosta but not Puerta Maya. There are at least 4 pharmacys with in 10 minute walk of ship, prices vary quite a lot. And several others. But check prices at the other pharmacys. Bobbie Telez is from Canada so of course speaks perfect English. Their pharmacy is clean and very modern and has a wide selection. I'm thinking about looking into some getting some meds when we're in Cancun, potentially brand name things my insurance here won't cover. This is my first cruise, and I'm just wondering what the practicalities of this are. Do they search you upon re-entry to the ship? This is technically illegal, right? Or do I need to bring a prescription? Customs will allow to bring in a personal supply of prescription drugs. You can bring in up to a 3 month supply of a non-controlled medication. Do not bring in tramadol. That is now a controlled drug in the U. Yes Tramadol is a controlled med. That being said we were asked if we had meds when boarding,I said only tramadol and he let us thru. Sorry dont remember pier,it wasnt downtown, the last 3 times we went there on Princess we went to same pier. It is the one with the 2 amigos bar right at pier. Any diea of how long it would take or if doing both is a problem? Just an FYI - I purchased weight loss and blood pressure meds for several years while on cruises. Most often it was in Belize, but I also bought in Cozumel several times. I was not as familiar with Cozumel pharmacies and had a hard time locating them on my own. When I asked our bartender on the cruise how to find the meds I was looking for, he told me any taxi driver in Cozumel can recommend where he could take us. THat in itself is risky I know, but the bigger consequence was to come several months later when I was randomly drug tested at work. Of course I tested positive for amphetamines weight loss and since I had no prescription for them, it was a violation of my organizations drug policy. I also tested positive for cocaine which I have never even been in the presence of. I was suspended for 3 days and did the hair follicle test during that time to confirm the findings. THAT test came back negative for all the substances so I was able to return to work. Of course I was humiliated by the whole situation. My point is that we have no ideas what the standards are in the manufacturing plants of these Rx. I suspected perhaps there was some cross-contamination, plus it could have been a faulty urine drug test. I just know that buying drugs on a cruise was a bad decision for me. Maybe I will change my mind when I retire just a few years away and living on a fixed income??? On a similar note, if you would travel to a state that has legalized marijuana, make sure you check with your work companies policies on recreational use. Many companies in our state which does not have legalized marijuana still do not permit its use this is clearly stated in the handbooks. Having been buying pharmaceuticals abroad can seem to save you a lot of money, beware of very authentic-looking, right down to the holographic seal on the box, counterfeit drugs. Most studies of drugs reimported to the States to save money have shown that you are lucky if the active ingredient s are even detectable, and the strength can range from much lower to several times higher than the recommended dose. If you really want to bring back a sufficient quantity of exported drugs to save money, my suggestion is to work with a trusted merchant or advisor who has their business in the Central business district. They should know which are the better stores, how to detect imitations vs. And even though you can buy many prescription drugs without a prescription in Mexico, etc. According to most international trade agreements, the special pricing of non-generic drugs given to developing countries are barred from reimortation to the US and customs officials are often on the lookout for these items. The Doctor. While in Cozumel they were out of latisse, so I am looking for somewhere online to purchase this. Anyone know a reliable site to purchase this without a prescription? Th aks. Sent from my iPhone using Forums. They participate in the pharmaceutical Brilliant Distinctions program so I feel confident I am getting authentic products. I also have the longer lashes to show for it too. You will be able to leave a comment after signing in. Write An Amazing Review!
