What a wonderful story, Amara is a beautiful girl, 18, and her father makes her marry a ruthless monster, but there is so much more to this story, as love grows. Her father ruled with an iron fist and she had no say in whom she would marry. Amara assumed her soon-to-be husband would be just as cruel as her father. She would do her duty and hope for the best life possible. OK so this review is definitely an honest one. I love a good mafia romance, specifically an arranged marriage, so I was very excited for this one. Personally for me, and for the amount of pages, there was not enough plot line. The amount of time a couple had together was not enough for this drastic character change. All of a sudden he was treating her like they had been together forever and he was in love with her, etc. And he all of a sudden becomes this suuuuper gentle guy. I love a good domineering MMC. Amara pretty much always knew this was coming and was raised to believe that women should be seen, not heard. I will say that the scene when he does take it, has been living in my head rent free since I read this! A deliciously dark romance read that will have you enthralled from the start until the end. Nikolai character oozes darkness, his intense personality pours out that those who knows his name know to stay away. Amara finds herself sacrificed to marry into the darkness that is Nikolai. When these two connect there is a surprising sweetness to their romance as the heat level rises to a dangerously decanter level that will have you craving for more. I love the intensity, yet soft side of Nikolai as he show everyone what he would do to protect Amara. A definite must read for fans who loves this genre. Not my favorite mafia romance. Nikolia and Amara's story is burning up the pages, who would of thought that an Italian mafia princess and the Bratva prince would fall so hard for one another!!! And the two together light the pages up with flames Italian meets Russian Mafia, arranged marriage, close proximity, touch her and you die…. Amara is a great character - she's beaten down and knows that her only worth to her Italian father is to sell her off to improve his business dealings. And when she's to marry Nikolai she is sure her life is going to be miserable because she knows how dangerous he is…like every other man in their world, but she's resigned to her fate. Nikolai is elite…. He wants Amara to be his Queen and strong by his side and not a doormat to him. This is a great book which is pretty easy to get through. It had nice character development with Amara growing stronger and a softer side developing in Nikolai. If you're looking for something dark and hot this is a great little read. This is such a brilliant book, and i loved it , it was dirty and dark and the story line was just superb. Russian mafia books are xalways good but this author really has outdone herself with this story. Amara her character was superb, i loved that she came out of her shell and embraced who she was. And that was a women not afraid of her man, even though she see the voilence in him. And as for Nikolai he may be a voilent man, but for him Amara is everything and lo and behold anyone who touches his wife. This book got me out of a reading slump really quick. And the spice.
