Alagna Valsesia is a traditional village resort and part of the Monterosa ski area linking with Gressoney , Champoluc , Antagnod, Brusson and Champorcher and offers km of pistes. It is an incredibly picturesque Italian resort with rustic wooden buildings and cobbled streets amongst the Monterosa mountains. A great ski area for skiers looking for mileage on their holiday as the two ends of the area are 17km apart and is a large scope from one side to the other. Skiers can get the cable car from the village centre to Pianalunga where you can decide to take a further cable car to Passo Salati at m, linking to Gressoney and Champoluc or take a chairlift to Bocchetta elle Pisse at Beginners will find the resort very limited as there is only a small beginner zone in the Alagna valley at Wold which is m north of Alagna Valsesia village. Intermediates are well accommodated for with lovely long reds descending into Gressoney and blues from Cimalegna. Champoluc is also a great resort for confident intermediates looking to ski out of the resort. However, the resort is best for advanced skiers due to the selection of demanding terrain.
