Liked the location and the hotel facilities. Just a shame that I came here while the covid situation is still happening. Our room was so spacious. Loved the bathroom. Had breakfast at Aysya. Food was great; only let down was the tough bacon. Concierge was very helpful and friendly. Nevertheless will definitely consider coming back when hopefully the covid issue is over. Nice spacious suite, nice view. Beach access across the road, Small Pool area. The 3 bed suite was nice and big, nice birthday gesture, clean very good room service staff. The main swimming pool was disappointing as was very small, looks nicer on the pictures. View is nice but beach across the road is annoying as not mentioned before booking. No ice cream sold at the beach. Orders were wrong at the resturant. For the whole 1 hour we spent at the hotel before leaving, The service was slow both check-in and at the pool. We were not told where any of the facilities were. We felt very uncomfortable within the hotel and like we did not belong here. Very dark and depressing decor not as expected on pictures. I am still waiting for a response regarding a refund. Very friendly staff. Amenities are superb and the location is great with view of the sunset. There was an electricity failure for 2 hours though which i think is out of their hands but other than that it was a amazing experience. Will definitely come back and will highly recommend to my friends. Only one thing needs rectification Room was great, big twin beds with plenty of clean cosy bedding. Bathroom also excellent. Buffet breakfast and dinner very good, plenty of choice and quickly replenished. BUT the dining room was up many steps or a long ramp, not very suitable for pushchairs or people with disabilities me. Why no elevator access??? The meals there were reasonably priced and children had plenty of room to rush around playing, instead of getting underfoot in the main restaurant. There were MANY children and babies Beach access was a short walk or buggy, water there was not very inviting for swimming. Plenty of parasols and sun loungers available. All in all a pleasant weekend stay but next time I might choose a smaller resort. Esp customer service lady, thank you Alaa. I was going to mention the sickening fishy smell but Room is small, beach quite far from hotel need to cross the road , room carpet not really clean, bath room size is smaller compare to other 5 star hotel Beach is away and swimming pool is not allowed for person wearing saree. We are so grateful for the kindness and for being hospitable of all their staff from the moment we checked in until the time that we checked out. Also, the priviledge that they gave to our family that made our stay very memorable in the marjan suite. I will always recommend this hotel especially for family whi wanted to have quality time. Looking forward to be back again. Booked this hotel as a staycation. After having to wait to check in. We were told to give a dirham deposit that was not mentioned in the booking. This was unexpected, and was not easily justified by the receptionist. On top of this, we asked to check out slightly later that on our booking, which was agreed to by the receptionist who checked us in, but was promptly forgotten the next day. We were told the change was not put on our account, and that they had no record of it. I hope the service was better for my fellow clients. The facilities were excellent. Beach 3min walk but with a shuttle service every few min. Everything was excellent. Easy check in, lovely clean rooms and facilities. Easy access to the beach, all water sports available at the beach. Breakfast was amazing, especially the Karak Tea. Nice room, fantastic view and good amenities :. Nothing is like it is said online and the pictures online are really different from the reality. The pool was crowded and no management and respect for other guests. The Lebanese restaurant was my favorite outlet. The breakfast buffet at the main restaurant was pretty good, too. I got faster speeds from Etisilat my phone carrier. However, my biggest complaint is regarding the coffee being served at the breakfast buffet. I was drinking tea, but my girlfriend went to the machine to get a cappuccino. When she sat down to drink the coffee, she made a face of deep displeasure. I thought maybe she was exaggerating, so I asked her to let me try it. I tried it and she was right; it was undrinkable. Most of the fun places and licensed restaurants that serve alcohol are near Hamra Village, so if you are looking for decent downtime in a relaxing atmosphere you should avoid this part of the island and rather stay away.
