With a quite and relaxing atmosphere , Blue House Hotel — Marsa Alam is an ideal getaway for travelers looking for an intimate setting with all inclusive privileges. Housed in a prime location between sandy mountains and deepest blue sea, Blue House Hotel Marsa Alam is just 2 km. Marsa Alam is located near the tropic of cancer where the Arabian Desert meets the Red Sea , A tropical Paradise with its palm trees, mangroves and seacoasts fringed with barrier coral reefs. Red Sea Marsa Alam Egypt. Room was good size with huge furnish balcony. Food is good, soft drinks are from coke and liquer is local. For the price I have paid, this was fantastic deal. I have returned into this resort again. On my 1st visit I wasn't that impressed. On this occasion I have definitely fell in love with the place. Hotel is also very conveniently located should you want to travel Egypt by public transport as it's only 30 min walk away from Marsa Alam. This is the nearest all inclusive resort to Marsa Alam. I will start with what's good. The reception staff is very welcoming and helpful. They would assist you with bus or minibus booking towards Aswan, Luxor, Hurghada and resorts on the way. Room is good size with huge comfortable balcony overlooking pool an ocean, except the ground floor where you can only see the pool. Chef at the restaurant is very helpful and will help you to choose something to eat. In general you get always some meet and vegetables, however nothing is luxurios quality The walk to Marsa Alam takes 35 min. You can stock up over there with cheap soft drinks. What I didn't like was the fact there was too much staff,who would do anything. Room cleaning was really poor. Bartenders openly don't like white people, you have to wait for everything forever. There was number of Egyptians who have received far better service. Do not bother to tip as it doesn't make any difference. Most of the staff wouldn't survive in western world where efficiency is expected. This is exactly what was missing. Most of the time the staff were not in the bars or have been ignoring you. Better management would help. Furthermore, the hotel would provide some snacks in between lunch and dinner, but you as a customer wouldn't get any of it, as staff gather togeter and eats everything! They also taking out full plates of food from the restaurant. Obviously hotel owner is not on site. Don't get disappointed, this is the best hotel for adventurous travelers as you can get so easily to aswan or follow red sea l. Take the room on second floor, it's a reception level and you getting sea view room too. Book cheapest room as all of them are the same. In the winter theres no heated pool, but you can use steam room or sauna for a surgage of EGP The beach bar is a ghost bar. The swimming pool is often dirty by flowers and leaves. But it is a good hotel,i know is not staff's fault. But they should care more about the area around them. Staff is very polite, devoted and overloaded, were refusing to accept any tips!! If you are looking for beaches to enjoy swimming and the whole spectrum of blue color and crystal clear water then you have to go to the North beach all the way west of Alexandria till Salloum. The food is well cooked but very boring no variety. Would'nt say it was suitable for families unless all they want is a pool and the beach,definately not suitable for younger people as there is nothing to do at night but stay in the hotel and there is nothing to do there either. During the day they can go diving or kite boarding dependant on the wind speed. The beach is just across the road from the hotel plenty of sunbeds and sunshades, if you go in the sea make sure you have got footwear on as the bottom is very rocky it is very shallow not suitable for swimming. There are no restaurants apart from the ones in the hotel its self and those were closed when we were there,there is no other entertainment what so ever around the hotel its self as all there is round about for as far as the eye can see is unfinished hotels its like being in the middle of the biggest building site in the world. Please note that the hotel does not have a proper money exchange desk. Dates we were there 26FebMarch. Age group Food is good. Good place for snorkeling or water or underwater activities dive, kite I'll recommend it for theses activities. You'll have the beach in front of the hotel, if you want to do nothing and getting relaxed it's nice too. For people likes going out or visiting famous places it's not really the right place. It's far from big towns and you're a little bit far from famous places like luxor, aswan I had very little hot water in the morning, more luke warm, but the water was very hot in the evening. The cleaner made things out of the towels, one day I had a crocodile on my bed. There is also a fridge, tv and free safe in the rooms. The Restaurant was ok, wouldn't say brilliant or bad, and there was plenty to eat. If you are fussy around your food, you wouldn't like it here. It did cater heavily for the Italians and there was something cooked on a bar b que every night. The pool area look lovely, just that there was nobody around it!! Or in the pool either, I think the water was very cold. To get to the beach you had to cross what looked like it is going to be in the near future a dual carriage way!! Beach was great, proper sand but as you get nearer to the waters edge, tiny bit shingley. There was plenty of sun beds with mattresses and you get a card to swap for a towel to use around the pool or on the beach. There was a lot og the guests that were Kite Surfing, this was the main attraction of the hotel. So say this was all inclusive, was a little disappointing, but after first night, I managed to be served my drinks in a proper glass, which was much better. As the hotel was quiet there was no entertainment or animation, except for 1 game of beach volleyball half way through my week. So take something to do or read. All in all, it was a very nice hotel. Transfer time from airport approx 90 mins ish, depending how many hotels are being dropped off at. I have stayed there before but it has changed hands and therfore standards had droped although thery were trying to do the best to improve matters and the staff were working hard and did go out of there way to help.
