I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. After a lengthy argument, they finally located our reservation, but the trouble didn't end there. The room itself was filthy, with dirty sheets that clearly hadn't been changed. To make matters worse, the bathroom had a leaky pipe that left water all over the floor. It was a safety hazard and incredibly inconvenient. The rudeness of the staff was appalling. Instead of assisting us, they were dismissive and unhelpful, making our stay even more uncomfortable. On our last day, we were shocked to be charged additional fees that were completely unexpected. Save your money and find somewhere else to stay! The kitchen staff was nice and cleaners and the guy at the entrance however the rest treated us like we was stupid. Sal Ms. Rooms are spacious but with very old furniture , beds are very uncomfortable. Some staff are nice but some are very rude. Hotel staff lack of hospitality, unprofessional and lack of respect of customers. Food is very bad , almost same cold cuts , soups, desserts, pizzas … every meal and no tongs for customers to pick up fruits and when I asked one cook if he can put tongs , he replied somehow upset that they put tongs already… how you accept customers to touch each fruit with their bare hands before deciding which fruit they will take!!!! Pool is over crowded and not enough sun chairs, some are broken and of course, unless you tip ahead of time , you will not get any service from the bar or pool staff …. I wish I took note of the previous reviews but took the risk and book this hotel. Will not recommend or return to this hotel. Bedroom very outdated, the carpet felt dirty, and AC worked on and off. The buffet meals decent but stale after 2 days. Modupeola McCarthy. A rather tired old building that needs updating. Food is repetitive but plentiful. Junior staff work their socks off while their Snr in white shirts are visible in their authority. The afternoon pancake and ice cream ladies plus the animation crew are a treasure. Check-in was smooth and reception staff welcoming. The down side. Nil area by the pool for nonsmokers to enjoy. Cockroaches coming through the bath drain. Stains on bedding. Dripping air-conditioning so wet carpet patch if on. Lift out of order days on end Should we want a cheap break would return. I would describe my vacation like this - the first and last time in Tunisia. Let me start with the room, which is very old-fashioned, since it was built, nothing has changed in appearance. We had to ask the cleaner lady of course with a tip to vacuum the carpet because of the amount of dust that was in it, the curtains have not been washed for who knows how long. When the cupboards are opened, the boards behind have rotted from moisture, and on the main door is a drawing that I had for good morning because I am where I am it is in the attachment. The bar next to the hotel works until late, so I couldn't even sleep because of the loud music. The POOL does not have enough sunbeds and umbrellas because this pool is used by two hotels. I spent an afternoon there, but I didn't like it there either because of the crowd and what I saw. Since their target group is their neighbors, who have 3 percent of home education in them, it was normal for them that their children eat and drink in the pool and still smile about it. Ok that has nothing to do with the hotel it has to do with their guests who behave like that. But that's why, it's so ugly that I'm waiting in line for chicken, I am first in line and the chef starts commenting on me in Arabic with a colleague pointing his finger at me! So that the others get two or three pieces of meat, they put one in my plate and then move on to the next person. But I have never seen such a dirty private beach! Garbage as much as you want, the other day when there were jellyfish in the sea I took a stick and started to clean the beach from that amount of plastic. Part of the flip-flop was on the beach for 3 days, part of the flip-flop, 3 days! The sea is dirty, shallow because of waterski and too many jellyfish. Every sunbed is broken, and on top of that there is no shower, toilet or changing room. Private beach essentials. Coca-Cola has never been for me on the beach, and then I see their guests walking around with Coca-Cola. But the important thing is that their bartender didn't take the cigar out of his mouth for the 7 days I was there. The lifeguard who was cleaning the beach found a nail pin next to us and asked us if it was ours, after we said - no , he threw the nail back into the sand, on which someone could get hurt. All in all, a big waste of money and vacation days. For the same money, go to Greece, Montenegro or Turkey for the vacation you deserve, add a little more and go to Egypt, which is years ahead of them in terms of hospitality. Or Croatia, Span, Albania or Italy. Oh and yes, if you are a female person who came alone with children on vacation or maybe a friend without a male companion, and you are thinking of a vacation in Jasmin Hammamet, just do not because of your safety! So, if I could, I would give 1 star, which is what this hotel should have, and not the madeup 4. Here are some similar hotels that might interest you VIP Sign Up! Unlock VIP Access. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the seaside and the ancient city. The whole town is clean and beautiful, and it feels comfortable to walk along the beach. The rooms are large and clean, with tiffany blue interiors and suites. There are not many people staying, especially not many Chinese. Tunisians are too curious about the Chinese. They cast curious eyes and shy smiles along the way. Steigenberger Marhaba Thalasso Hammamet. Hammamet Sud. La nuit on a dormi avec la porte du balcon ouverte pour la chaleure. Foods were incredible and bar also, pool maybe should be more clean but the all look with trees and flowers,if you wanna rest exactly come here so butic so nice so relax. Le Sultan. WEI 4. Perhaps due to the off-season, the hotel is very cost-effective, including three meals. The quality of the meals far exceeded expectations. The facilities are a bit old, and although the staff is not enthusiastic, they are very efficient. The perfect and very friendly team. The cleaning manager Najet simply magnificent always with a smile attended us. The food is very good and varied. The incredible sea views. Beautiful place to rest and spend with family. We'll be back soon!! Mediterranee Hammamet- Families and Couples Only. We booked this hotel last minute as we wanted alittle winter sun. The private beach is amazing, a great feature to this hotel. This is very much a French hotel, everyone speaks in French, daytime games are in French, evening entertainment is in French and even the signs around the hotel are all in French. Most of the entertainment team, bar staff and reception speak English so that helps a lot. The rooms are very basic with only one socket available In a room suitable for 4 people, I would recommend bringing an extension lead, on a positive note the beds are super comfortable. The food is lovely, one of the best parts of the hotel. Authentic Tunisian dishes are served which were great to try. Lunch and dinner are pretty much the same most days but they do have a grill station and a pasta bar if you want to mix it up. The snack bar is left overs from lunch. Overall, this is a great place for some winter sun on a budget. We did thoroughly enjoy ourselves but we only stayed for 5 days, I think anymore maybe too much. Hotel El Fell. The hotel is very good with friendly staff. The canteen staff namely Safi , Tawfik, Mohammed , and second Sami deserve 5 stars. They served us with a smile always. The housekeeping staff Najma was friendly and kept the room clean and tidy with decorations by flowers. Overall I would give all a 5 star rating. Pool staff , were brilliant as well. If measured by value for money, this hotel is close to full marks. We have included two breakfasts and two dinners, and less than yuan, which is estimated to double at five-star hotels in domestic and international chains. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. The parking lot is ample, and the exclusive beach behind is beautiful! Guest User 4. Second time in this hotel and always pleasant stay. A warm welcome from Madame Dorsaf and the reception staff. All the staff are there to listen to you, from the chambermaids to the restaurant waiters and the entertainers. A room with a superb view of the sea and the swimming pool. Chef Saber in the kitchen always ready to satisfy you, he knew how to prepare a meal for 12 people at the last moment in order to have an evening with friends met during the stay at the hotel. Without forgetting the possibility of accessing the thalasso of the second hotel and these 3 swimming pools, the aquatonic of which has sea water. Just back from the most perfect week with my daughter at Hotel Aziza! All the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. This really does include all the staff - the reception team, restaurant and bar staff, doormen, cleaning team, and the staff at the spa, without exception the service was fabulous and everyone so friendly. The pool and beach area were beautiful, clean and well kept. Sunbeds were usually all taken with towels by the time we came down at 8. Food in the main restaurant was great and varied, we had morning coffees from the beach bar and late lunches at the barbeque overlooking the beach, really perfect if you didn't want to eat inside. We tried both the Tunisian and International restaurants in the evening and both were excellent with 5 course menus and fabulous service. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big balconies and sea views. There is always something going on in the evening if you want to join in, live music, belly dancers, karaoke etc. The Moorish cafe in the basement and the lobby bar were both nice for pre or post dinner drinks. My daughter booked us both daily massages at the onsite spa which was an amazing treat each afternoon. Can honestly say that we can't wait to go back next year! Tui Blue Palm Beach Hammamet. Brilliant holiday from start to finish. Staff are so friendly and helpful, greeting you every day with a nod or a smile. Room was so modern and clean, was cleaned daily and mini bar replenished daily too. Sun loungers were in plenty so no trouble trying to find one. Beach was lovely, nice clear water. Loved the beach so much. The food in the restaurant was second to none, the chef even coming to greet me and my hubby to point out the signage to check what was appropriate for him to eat as he needs a gluten free diet. The hotel upstairs bar was airy, bright and inviting but the downstairs bar was a bit bare and reminded me of a dentist waiting room. Yadis Hammamet. Room was good, cleaned everyday, everyday clean towels. Very friendly service, everyday asked us if everything was okay. Food also ok, large selection, you could choose e. Good coctails. Beach also good. The pool is quiet, sun loungers are available there is no need to book them : and the bar is open. Diverse music. Every day a lot of animations, stretching, darts, aquagym, water polo, volleyball. In the evening, there is a mini-disco and various events: karaoke, games, and at the end of the day, a disco. Great job by the animators, Kouki and Dido are the best. I stayed here in August On entry to the hotel the first impression was a classical, well aged building. The smell was also authentic, I thought there was a dead cat or bird within the sofa. The check. We were escorted to the rooms by an older gentleman who helped us with our bags and demonstrated the amenities, there was Aircon and it was functional. The opinion of the establishment quickly reduced when the stairs were used.. Children would be injured very quickly. Once settled we went to bar.. The prices are reasonable in the bar. So one night at 9pm I was walking to my room and saw a pool of vomit on the hall by my room I walked past it hoping someone would report it and have it cleaned The hot water temp. The shower curtain had some serious stories to tell, and I woidl say it also had its own bioculture. The toilet in my room would flush clean, but then turn brown Like troopers we carried on and savoured the experience, eating out in glorious local restaurants and working during the day. One night I noticed how upset the plants looked in the reception, perhaps they were mourning for the loss of their fav cat. Major incident must be reported because at I had a heated discussion with the staff who had opened room instead of room , the guest in had locked her key in the room The incompetence and unprofessionalism forced me to ask my boss to rebook, and I left! I add a few photos, the sofa is not wet, it is stained, like the pillows and bead sheets Being a ginger it was alarming to find black public hair on the bath edge 3 days into the trip. Great holiday, Yacine is brilliant! The food was amazing and it was great to have so much option. The room was really comfortable and everything in the room worked really well. So many activities to do during the day it was great. We had the best time and the staff were really friendly and attentive. We stayed here for 2 nights in September. Highly recommend. Buffet was an average all inclusive style food, being vegetarian I was a little annoyed with how much meat was in everything without choices for veggies but I only had to ask and pasta would be made special for me or stir fry ect but we did tip for that. Biggest down fall of this hotel is the drinks! It is all bottles and flat and warm they need to invest in a fizzy drink machine. Alcohol is hit and miss I ordered a vodka coke and was pure water. Not much entertainment at this hotel and nothing during the day if you want a relaxing quiet holiday this is the place for you the sister hotel we went to once but this was quite crowded. The usual tip the lifeguard and you will get a sun bed applies here but we was up at 9 am some days and still got a bed they could do with a few more at the beach though. And there is a really loud buzzing noise at the beach that they need to rectify it goes on non stop! Overall all we loved this hotel just a few things they needed to change like the drinks and no ice cream? I would rate this hotel a 4 star because of those reasons but the staff are very helpful and mostly friendly. We arrived at the hotel before check-in and were given wristbands to use the facilities while we waited for our room. The manager was very helpful and moved us to a nicer room in the main building which we are happier with. The pools are nice and we haven't had any trouble getting sun loungers at any time of day. The beach is big with lovely soft sand. We went out of the hotel for breakfast because we woke up late, to nine ten bar just up the road and it was fantastic. There are shops on the way there, but I strongly suggest you avoid them. We went in one and selected a few things, small bag, pen, magnets and he tried to charge us dinar! I tried to haggle which started off well, but soon went south. He called more men in to try to get us to pay but I ushered my family out the door. They followed us and wouldn't leave us until I shouted at them. If you want souvenirs etc there is a great shop almost opposite the hotel entrance, you get no hassle while browsing, the prices are reasonable but there is room for haggling. The food at the hotel is OK nothing more, same with drinks. In all it is worth what you pay, but if you're after luxury, you might look elsewhere. La Badira - Adult Only. ZI JIA 4. There is no one of the best hotels in Tunisia. The breakfast is very rich. You can't have an extra bed. The location of the hotel is a bit remote. You need to take a taxi for six or seven hundred yuan. If you are good at English, you can get a few dozen dollars in the car. The swimming pool is very big. The restaurant is very difficult to eat, except for the breakfast, it is recommended to bring your own snacks in Tunisia. I spent only one night at the hotel and it was super cool you feel like home , very friendly staff the waitors ,the old man at the beach one thing i did't like which is the beach it is far from the hotel and you have to pay for it so it is no longer private but that's not a big deal there was a wedding party at the hotel at the night i stayed so it was an opportunity for me to discover some traditions If you are planning to visit Hammamet than Hotel Bel Azur will definitely the best choice. Everything is there. Entrance fees are affordable too. Highly recommend! Hotel le Khalife. Been comeing this hotel 4 years love it staff go out there way for us know us very well now.. Hammamet Garden Resort and Spa. Staff have been brilliant, especially Sonia, 'Shreddy', Ramos who organised the activities in the hotel such as darts, aqua aerobics, karaoke, volleyball. Ramos was a life saver on the holiday as it was fairly quiet in the hotel with it being off-peak, he got everyone up and dancing and involved in activities to keep us enjoying ourselves. Anyone who comes here definitely needs to take part in whatever activities are on. Rooms are decent, and the in-hotel shop is fairly reasonably priced. There is a supermarket across from the hotel which is also quite cheap too. Guest User 3. Disappointed, because we booked a room for 4 with a view of the mother, we ended up in an interior room.
