Good value holiday resort in Hurghada. The staff are excellent, helpful and friendly to everyone. Rooms are big and have all you need for a comfortable stay. Would I recommend, yes, would I go back, yes. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Hotel was clean, neat and near beaches, shops and restaurants. The staff, uniforms, professionalism you expect from 5 star wasn't there. El Gouna itself is a much better choice of area than Hurghada, as it is a purpose built Resort, with beautiful marinas and restaurants. You will find El Gouna has a very laid back relaxed vibe, with no one asking you to purchase anything, so hassle free! I would like to thank the Customer relations ladies at Serenity Fun City that followed up our concerns above and beyond for our stay. This Hotel is a real gem for the kids.. Upon a general chat with cust relations they asked how my stay was, i decided to tell them about a couple of small issues. They followed this up and left a message in our room to contact them asap. We were given a fruit tray twice for the inconvenience as well as game vouchers. As we were leaving the following day management organised breakfast bags for us to take with us to the airport. The buffet options are amazing especially breakfast and have endless options that would please any fussy eater. I highly recommend Serenity Fun city as a family destination. Mercure Hurghada was a good surprise. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Reception were full of smiles and they upgraded us free of charge. The beds were comfortable although there was no wall to wall carpeting only two small rugs. Hence the room was a bit cold unless you turned on the heater. Be careful to request a view of the beach as this adds to the magical experience. Ask for room , which is where we stayed and it was a great room with a great view. My family loves to travel in different countries and stay in different hotels during the holidays and vacations. The hotel has a lot to offer and can cater to all types of travellers. The hotel surroundings and gardens was well kept and clean. There were shops selling different stuffs. They have a doctor and clinic in the hotel in case you get sick. Everything is in the hotel from kids facilities, variety of dining experience with their many restaurants and bars, days and night entertainment and activities for couples and for family, snorkling and diving activities, we were given voucher also to their Spa but apparently we had no time to visit.
