I collect blown glass and like to pick up pieces from places I visit There is a large glass blowing factory on the mainland side. Ferry ride is 40 minutes each way. On La Quinta street performers entertain shoppers; Mexican glass blowers let you watch them work at this traditional craft. Oh super cool I am kinda geeky I guess but i love love to see how the other countries have different techniques I know I can buy what they make that day but I sure hope they are selling some previously made glass!!! Just for my info I know you said I would have to take a ferry Ferry service runs every hour on the hour going both ways to and from the mainland at Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. There are two companies that sometimes alternate turns and sometimes run simultaneously - check with the ticket booth about next departure time and be sure you buy a ticket from the one leaving on the schedule that best suits your agenda. The ride is about 45 minutes each way. I hope you find the entertainment you are looking for, you worked very hard to get the information. Have fun!
