Officers also found scales, more plastic bags, printed copies of various sections of the NSW Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act, a USB device and more than a dozen mobile phones in the house. He maintained his innocence for two years in the wake of several delays in court, until agreeing to plead guilty to amended charges in August this year. An intensive corrections order will allow him to give something back to the community. A man who used cryptocurrency to buy ecstasy via 'the dark net' and attempted to have it delivered to his home has been sentenced to 22 months in a West Australian prison. Felix Wolfl, 27, used Bitcoin to purchase He arranged for the package to be delivered to the Margaret River home he shared with his mother on January 2, , but police substituted the package and swooped shortly after it arrived. Wolfl was convicted after a trial of attempting to possess MDMA with intent to sell or supply. The judge accepted the drugs were mostly for Wolfl's personal use and to supply some to his friends, but there was no commercial aspect to the offending and Wolfl was not motivated by profit or reward. Defence counsel Linda Black urged Judge Levy to suspend the sentence. But the judge said it was a serious crime and general deterrence was a significant sentencing factor.
