I have received a Private Message from someone wanting to know if it is possible to buy drugs in Cyprus. I am not going to reply by PM but need to post on the general forum that neither I nor I am sure will any other 'destination expert' advise on illegal drugs in Cyprus. Do yourself and others a favour and stay away from them. You can have a good holiday without them. There was one a few weeks ago from someone from Russia asking where they could get drugs but it was reported it to TA and it was removed. I'm no prude or stick in the mud but like most decent people I am very anti drugs - can't put on paper what I would like to do with drug dealers. It is known that drugs are not tolerated there and anyone caught buying, selling or possessing even the tiniest amount of resin is dealt with in a very 'heavy handed' manner by the police before finding themselves stuck with a hefty prison sentence. This will be our first holiday in Europe for about ten years so not sure how much it has changed. If you want drugs you will find them. If you have no interest and aren't tuned in then you will notice nothing. It would be very naive to think that they aren't around because, unfortunately, they are part of many people's lives.
