Five Singaporeans, aged between 17 and 21, were arrested in operations conducted by the Central Narcotics Bureau CNB at various locations on 27 September targeted at drug transactions conducted through a chat application. In the afternoon of 27 September, CNB officers conducted an anti-drug operation at a residential unit located in the vicinity of Boon Lay Drive and arrested a year-old man and a year-old girl. Forced entry was effected as the suspects had refused to comply with the lawful orders of the officers to open the door. The year-old man was escorted to his vehicle in a nearby open carpark. Through our investigations on persons who had bought drugs via a chat application, CNB successfully mounted the operations on 27 September and arrested five persons for their suspected involvement in drug trafficking.
