Weeddee - Find the right shop to buy cannabis in Thailand

Update 2nd February I update this page from time to time with new stores and price guides. Read this before your trip to Bangkok if you intend to fit in some gear shopping. And if you find it useful, remember to share this article with your friends! If you have the opportunity to visit Bangkok, there is no doubt that shopping for Muay Thai stuff is going to be a definite feature on your to-do list. Hordes of tourists fly into the Thai capital daily to indulge in shopping. The prices used to be ridiculously cheap compared to what you get back home but rising costs in Thailand along with the world of online retail i. Amazon has bridged the gap over the years. Prices for the top brands have increased over the last year but overall, prices in Bangkok are still cheaper compared to online prices. The sexy allure of holding Muay Thai gear in your hands is a pure and ecstatic feeling. Not to mention the overwhelming range of available choices! I have consolidated a list of Muay Thai shops that I frequent every time I visit Bangkok as well as others that are well worth a visit. I literally went the distance, putting in the miles to collect all the information but hey, anything for my readers. This list is really as comprehensive as it gets on the web. It may not be definitive as I have opted to highlight the more centralised and accessible shops in this article for convenience but these are the shops with the best selection at the best prices. This is because a lot of the shops, even the official stores, do not carry the full catalog of their products. But come with no expectations, and be prepared to be blown away by the prices, friendly service and seemingly unlimited options. Here are the best shops to buy Muay Thai gear in Bangkok:. Long established as the sports hub of Bangkok and widely-regarded for its the highest concentration of sports equipment stores, the National Stadium Area is my number one recommendation for sourcing Muay Thai gear. There are around 10 decent Muay Thai shops, all within walking distance, with the best priced Muay Thai goods that Thailand has to offer. Located at the strategic corner of the Rama I — Banthat Thong Road junction sits the new king in town. Kee La Pun has been around as long as all the other shops on the block and while it has always stocked Muay Thai goods like its neighbors, their former high prices have repelled most customers. Things have changed and if you are looking for standard gear from Fairtex and Twins, you are unlikely to find better prices than at Kee La Pun. Compared to their neighbors see Action Zone and Copa below , KLP makes for a more pleasant experience due to the bigger space although customer service is not as warm. The selection is impressive with everything from gloves to shin guards to gym bags, heavy bags, kicking pads etc. As they did not allow taking of photos of the price guide, I have tried to recall the prices from memory. Price guide below serves as a rough estimate but should be close enough. As you can see, they are cheaper than any other stores down the list. If you are looking for top-quality gear at the best prices you can find, this is it. How to get there : There are a few gear shops in this area possibly due to the presence of the National Stadium. Take exit 2 and head down the road with the stadium to your left. Keep walking and you will see the huge Tesco on your right on the other side of the road. Keep going in the same direction and cross the street at the intersection where you will see a green building. Action Zone is one of the most well-known Muay Thai gear shops in Bangkok. Its claim to fame is a friendly service and of course even friendlier prices. The shop is very modest-sized and cramped with Muay Thai gear stacked up on all sides of the walls and in the back of the store. Here, you will find a good range of Fairtex and Twins gear, as well as their house brand. I highly recommend their house brand hand wraps which are cheap baht after discount and are very good quality. Not the most attractive shop-front and rather cramped in the store. In fact, the whole store is in need of a fresh coat of paint. But the service and prices make up for it. They may not stock everything from the Twins and Fairtex catalog but you can email them a month ahead of your visit and they should be able to get you sorted out. Shorts customization service is available and will take weeks. How to get there : See Kee La Pun above. Just a few more steps down and you will find the famed Action Zone shop. Located right next to Action Zone is another family-run mom and pop Muay Thai gear store. This is the place to be if you want to land yourself some old skool brand, Windy gloves and shin guards. They also stock some Fairtex and Twins gear which are fairly priced. As I am personally not a Windy fan, I did not buy anything from the store but the granny and other staff here are absolutely lovely people who left me to browse and take pictures. Windy gloves are cheaper than the bigger names and some folks that I met while training in Bangkok swear by them. If you like your gear old skool, simple and affordable, Windy can be your thing. Opening Hours : Mon-Sat from 9am to 5pm and Sun from 10am to 4pm Action Zone is closed on Sunday so you might want to visit on other days so as to visit all three shops. A young brand and a very new shop. Founded and run by 2 enterprising brothers from France, SKS Empire seems to take a lot of their design influences from streetwear and hip hop culture. They are partnering with a number of promotions as well as fighters so you may have seen them on social media. Besides their own line of fight wear, they also offer custom services for fight wear from design to delivery. All handmade in Thailand. Definitely a must-visit. Check out their website to get a feel of their designs. The brand has a few collections with different price range. I have included a price guide for their core collection. FBT is sporting goods brand that has been around since Prices are not that attractive, but there is a healthy selection of all things Muay Thai. The quality seems decent but definitely not comparable to the other premium Thai labels. Here, it is a left turn down the main road when you come to the junction of Tesco and another m 5-minute walk. Started in , Bull Sports is another reseller shop in the National Stadium area. It has become a favorite gear shopping option among many foreign visitors in the last couple of years due to its friendly prices and overseas shipping service. If you shop online, this is the store with the best prices. They have a good online store and ships worldwide via express shipping. For bulk purchase, it is definitely worth considering. Check the map below for directions. Just around the corner from Bull Sports is this official Twins Special shop. Prices are official retail prices and there are some sales now and then. Discount may or may not be given but you can always try asking like pretty much everywhere in Thailand. Customer service is okay, nothing to shout about. The location is great compared to other Twins outlets Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums and the stock availability makes this store a must-visit for fans of the brand. How to get there : See directions for Bull Sports above. For those of you holidaying with family and short on time, this might be a good option. The shop is located in the family-friendly MBK Center which is a popular tourist spot and a very centralised location. I recommend the Sukothai range of shorts where they use an ethnic Thai fabric for a very unique look. If they are firm on their prices, please respect that. Getting to the store is the tricky part. They are located on level 3 on the other end away from Tokyu department store. Operating Hours: MBK is open 10am to 10pm daily. To be safe, plan on arriving after 12pm. Sukhumvit is a great convenient location to be based in, with lots of shopping, accommodation and entertainment options. If you only have time for one shop to get your Muay Thai gear, this is the shop to go to. Everything is reasonably priced and almost on-par with the National Stadium shops. Super Export Shop, as the name suggests, does a lot of wholesale export business. This is also the only store in Bangkok where you can get Booster Fight Gear, if you like the brand for whatever reason. You can also get the popular Raja colorful shorts here at THB a pair instead of making the far trip out to the Raja factory. Service is personable and friendly, and you are welcome to take your time to try out the gear and equipment. The gear may be wrapped up in plastic but feel free to ask to open up for testing. First class service here. They have sales from time to time with the good prices. If you are based around Sukhumvit area or variety is what you are looking for, this is a shop not to be missed. Price Guide : There are many different brands and gear here with varying prices. Ask for discounts but they are given most of the time without asking. Look out for special promotions that change from time to time. How to get there : I usually base myself around Sukhumvit area so this shop is just a few minutes by motorbike taxi. The shop sits on the ground level and faces the road so you should be able to spot it easily. While you are there, head down the road for an exquisitely Asian experience of the fascinating Khlong Toey Market. The store size is small but stocks a very good selection of their training gear, including their popular CarbonFit shorts and the latest collections from the current season. More importantly, the retail store is located in the same premise as the gym where Muay Thai legend, Saenchai, trains daily. You will also catch the other Yokkao fighters like Singdam, Manachai, and Yodchai. This is the place to get some gloves and you can put them to use straight away for a training session -which was what I did. You can either take a 5 minutes walk along the busy Soi 16 traffic or a speedy ride on one of the many motorbike taxis at near the entrance to Soi 16 to reach the gym. As of writing, the bike ride costs 10 baht or Everything they have is laid out systematically in the spacious shop so you will have no trouble looking for what you want. They stock the standard Muay Thai goods such as gloves, shin guards, headgear, shorts and training gear as well. I highly recommend the plain black retro shorts which are cheap and good baht. They offer shorts customization service and generally take around weeks. However, if all you need is just a simple custom work with your name, they might be able to get it out within days. Just check with any of the friendly staff manning the store. The staff was friendly and I was left to browse around the store but she attended to my many queries promptly and patiently. Boon prices are very reasonable and this is certainly a shop worth stopping by. Check my feature to read their story. When you arrive at the station, head to exit 4, you will see Tesco Lotus on your right but take the flight of steps on your left to the side of the road down the overhead bridge opposite of Tesco. As of writing, the ride should cost you 20 baht. This is the official Top King store in Bangkok and they are often not as well stocked one might hope. On 3 out of my last 4 visits, I had to walk away empty-handed. The service is minimal but adequate and the staff pretty much leave you to browse but they are happy to answer to questions. Shorts customization is available here but will take around 1 month. Take exit 1, turn right and head down the road with Lumpini Park View apartment on your right. After the bridge, make the first right at the alley and you should see the shop. If you happen to visit Lumpinee or Rajadamnern stadiums to watch some fights, you will find the official Twins Special stores at both locations. Very well-stocked with the largest collection of Twins Special gloves at both locations. Prices are fixed at the official retail prices. Note: There is also a Top King store at Lumpinee stadium with the same prices as the original store at the old location. How to get there : Lumpinee stadium is a pain to get to. Unfortunately, the fights start around pm which is at the peak of the mad Bangkok rush hour. The slow engine grind to the stadium takes between 1 to 2 hours but going back, the trip to train station is just 30 minutes or less. Going to Rajadamnern stadium is a lot more pleasant. Opening Hours : Stores are open whole day on fight nights. As of , the shop at Rajadamnern Stadium has closed. Is it worth making the long ride to Talingchan? Probably not, unless you are making a bulk purchase to ship back home. If you are looking for the colorful Raja shorts, you are better off heading to Super Export Shop which is located downtown. How to get there : A long way by taxi or grab car. See map below. There are so many Fairtex Pro shops in Bangkok that it warrants a section of its own. The IM Park outlet located in the National Stadium area, see above is a proper, bigger store front and stocks more items than the outlet at Q Stadium Zone within EmQuartier shopping mall. However, EmQuartier is a lot more accessible and has a very good selection of Fairtex gear to choose from. The service is prompt at both locations and you should be able to find what you need at either stores although I have heard mixed reviews on its customer service. Prices at the stores seem to be more expensive than Fairtex stockists like Kee La Pun, Bull Sports or Action Zone See above but the benefit of shopping here especially at the malls like Emquartier or Mega Bangna or Asiatique is a more convenient and comfortable experience. If you are on a family trip, the rest of the family members can go about their shopping in the malls while you take your time to salivate over the extensive Fairtex product selection. The Q Stadium is located on in the Waterfall Quartier. I recommend the motorbike taxi as usual take exit 2 from National BTS Stadium which costs 30baht as of writing. Thaismai is an old-timer that has been around since the s. They remain an old-favorite with many gyms in Thailand and around the world. Designs are standard Thai style, with the odd standouts like the Powerpuff girls Muay Thai shorts and animal-print handwraps. Quality is good, and the fact that they have been around for decades is a testament to that. Custom shorts take around 4 days and they ship overseas. Overall, really friendly service. How to get there : The easiest way is by taxi or Grab car. Whenever I travel to Bangkok, I prefer to base myself in a more centralized and accessible location near to a BTS or MRT station, as the metro is the best way to get to around central Bangkok. This gives me easy access to most of the shops recommended above as well as a wider range of facilities and other conveniences. It does not get any more accessible than this prime area. Four reasons to base yourself here:. If you are looking to eat, drink, shop and be merry, search no further. This is the place for you. The area and the public transport offer easy access to several top Muay Thai gyms for the ultimate vacation to savour all of what Bangkok has to offer. I hope this guide will be helpful for planning your next trip to Bangkok. If you are a shop in Bangkok and would like to be featured in the article or on the website, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to drop by for a visit on my next trip. Thanks for the article. Maybe gonna get my gear there for a change. I normally bought all my stuff at action zone near nation Stadium. I mostly buy fairtex or Twins gear. Do you know the prices at the fairtex store at the emquartier mall? I was once at a fairtex store in pattaya and it was pretty expenive compared to action zone shop. I also just found out there is a fairtex store at asiatique near chaopraya river. Gonna check it out the next days. Happy shopping! I was looking to create my own brand. For Muay Thai gear, you might want to try talking to the people at ActionZone. Or you may want to try emailing Fairtex who has its own factory. Hope that helps and let me know if it works out. Thank you for your post. I have a question. Is that topking shop updated price recently? Hi, the top king store near sukhumvit near the old lumphini is close on weekends. The other Top King store is in the new Lumphini stadium is open on Saturday but to be safe, plan on getting there during the saturday show which usually starts around pm. Excellent article! Very helpful in order to give an idea of whether it is worth waiting until I get to Bangkok, or just pick the gear up at home. Keep up the good work! Hi Tini. If by boxing gloves you mean boxing brands like Winning, Cleto Reyes, etc. However, you will be able to find lots of Boxing gloves by Muay Thai brands like Twins, Fairtex, Windy and many others. These are very popular options and as far as I know, many boxers use Thai brands for boxing too. Hope that helps! Hi, I was searching a guide for Muay Thai gear like that since a long time. Since Lumpini Stadium was moved all shops located at this area became also mostly moved. Today I visited the actionzone and these shop was a pretty good recommendation. Hi Simon! Glad you found the guide helpful. Will be sure to include Thaismai in my next update. Cheers and thanks for your support. Hi, the guide is great, thanks for putting it together. I have a friend visiting BKK this week who will get them for me. Any help would be really greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Mike. Thanks Mike. Heavy bag chains.. My best bet would be Super Export Shop who has connections to all the brands. Alternatively, maybe you can consider getting some swivel, chains and carabiner and DIY? Prices went up for many of the brands over the last year. Last time I and my girlfriend lived in Thailand she trained Muay Thai. She absolutely fell in love with Buakaw Banchamek. Do you know where I could find this? Hi Daniel, I have not seen posters of Buakaw for sale in Bangkok before. Your best bet is to check with Banchamek Gym. Good luck! Hi Esther, as far as I know, Yokkao offers stitching of names on gloves. I cannot confirm this but my guess is that Boon and Top King will likely offer the custom service for gloves too. The other thing to take note is that custom service typically take a fair bit of time. I would figure around weeks for that. A new shop opened up last May when I was there called Bull Sports you should consider investigating next time. Hi Kenshiro. Thank you for your comment. I believe the shop has been opened for at least a couple of years now. I will make sure to check it on my next roundup. Specially for you. Hey Kay! I am from Malaysia and your blog is extremely helpful especially for foreigner like us who wish to buy Martial Art gear, i will continue to follow closely with your post, so please keep writing! About my shopping experience, i stayed at Pattuwan area so i went to ActionZone and bought a Fairtex BGV1 Falcon edition, which will cost around 4,baht in Malaysia but i bought about 2,baht from there, what a great deal! And i bought their house brand hand wrap. I gotta say you are damn right about their hand wrap, the quality is so good which put my current hand wrap in shame. One thing you may want to update is they open at am, as i went there first thing in the morning. Most Thai shops usually open 10 or even later. Thank you for your update. Great article and with very detailed information. My Son just started to learn Muay Thai here in Sydney… and we are at a lost trying to track down Fighter brand. Any chance you have some info on this? Hi Matthew, I am not aware of this brand. There are no prices listed on their website. You may try Amazon. Hi, thanks so much for diligently updating your articles. Found this article very useful when I had to buy gloves at TopKing. Your directions were easy to understand and follow. Long live your blog! Are there any stores that specialize in MMA gear. Hi, you can try Fairtex which has a reasonable range of MMA gear. They have many outlets in Bangkok. See article for some of their locations. Thank you for information. When I traveled in Bangkok last week, I used several stores posted on this content. Especially, the staff of Action Zone was kind, rich in inventory, the price was also cheap. Thank you for this detailed and very helpful information. God bless the internet and people like you, who give information like this away for free! Must say that Iiked Action Zone quite a bit. Dont let the shitty apperarance there fool you, they are well stocked and had colours of Twin gloves that Super Export did not have. All in all I would recommend to definitely visit some more shops, as the inventory is always a bit different. Just before Action Zone is another sports shop that sells all kinds of stuff from Badminton rackets to volleyballs. But they also had Twins gloves for very good prices so its worth checking that out too. Yes, agree absolutely. Both those stores are my favorite stores in Bangkok. Thanks so much for this list it was really useful. My brother asked me to buy him some Top King shin guards while I was in Thailand. I was based in the Suhkamvit area already and the directions and map were really good. I had a picture of what I wanted and they knew exactly what it was and got it for me straight away, they even threw in a freebie of pain relief cream. If you mean in Bangkok, you can try ActionZone but may want to email them in advance. Just wanted to say awesome guide by the way! I am going to phuket in april and was wondering do you have a shopping guide for there? If not. How are the shop owners with deals and discounts if you buy a lot? Not like wholesaling but just price negotiation like you would at a flea market. Hi Ray, thanks for dropping a comment. With resellers, there may be some leeway. All the best! I have heard from several people that the Raja Shop is closed. Everyone who has gone to it found it closed up. Is it still operating? Trying to visit on a Sunday before the fights. Hi Aaron, if I remember correctly, the shop is closed on Sundays. Try sending Raja a dm via instagram a day before heading over to confirm. When was the last time you updated the price lists for each shop? Are they still accurate? Hi Aaron, the last time I visited the shop was in November last year So the prices should be accurate. Hi Kay I would like to buy Muay thai pants and have my own name printed, you might know where possible? Hey Kay, by any chance do you remember which hotel you stayed at? Or any place you specifically recommend? Hi Andy, Nowadays, I travel to Bangkok for a mix of work and training. I tend to base myself around Asoke because of its accessibility but it depends on your budget. Here are some of my personal favorites and you can see which fits your budget: 1 Room Bangkok Guesthouse feel, easy going 2 Citypoint Hotel Very accessible, staff are so-so, rooms are very nice but showers can be hard to get the right temperature 3 Furamaxclusive Asoke Hotel I really like this 4-star hotel with bathtubs which occasionally offer great deals on hotel booking websites like agoda. I used the short one a day and I washed It cold after training by hand. After only one month the shorts are already in a very bad condition. I have many shorts from different brands like Boon, Twins, Fairtex, ect. I tried to contact them but without success. If you want high quality shorts better buy the other brands. I like to have an unique glove. It would be gorgeous to choose the size, colour, design, branding of an personal identity. Hi Mirko, it is possible to create custom-made gloves if you make mass order. If only one or two, you can try muay thai factory. You can email and ask them. Thank you for your support! Is it true that Super Export Shop sells the most brands from different suppliers? If I want to buy Windy boxing glove for example. Any idea which store provide the best price? Thank you. Hi Harold, Copa has a wider selection of Windy products. Super Export Shop is a good place to go as they have a wide selection of brands. Hope that helps. Thank you for answering my question. Is this correct what I am saying, at Super Export Shop you should not walk empty handed. And at the other shops that rather a question. Any recommendation for hand wraps? Copa has other brands besides Windy, such as Fairtex and twins. You can also try next door at Action Zone for fairtex and twins. Hand wraps you can try top king brand. Let me put it this way. Very much appreciated. Just wanted to say Thank you very much for the guidance on the Muay Thai Shops and where to buy gear. I first read your article about a year ago, July because I was planning a trip in November of When I did go in November I stopped by the Super Export Shop and I have to say you were right…if you only have time to stop at one shop…this is the one to go to. I found basically everything I wanted. I traveled there with a large duffle bag wrapped up in my checked bag and opened it when I arrived and made my trip to Super Export Shop. The store was very well organized. They even had a few sales and specials running that I was able to take advantage of. Great place. I bought a full range of gear from gloves to trunks, focus pads, shin guards, even ankle supports and a mongkol. Thanks for the help. Very well put together article. Hi Kay, I am fr Vietnam and i have been reading this article n blog for 2 yrs, and now collect lots of shorts from these stores. Thanks for the informative guide. I am now trying to add to my collection some local Thai event shorts ie. Thai Fight, all kind of Fight Night at all levels etc… Because my trainers often wear them and students wear Fairtex, Twins…. Vietnam to Thailand is a very short trip then what i am looking for now is something authentic Muay Thai. You can buy MX Muay Xtreme shorts at the event. Other events are more difficult, usually given to the fighters only. I believe you can also buy Channel 7 Stadium shorts at the venue. Does anyone know where i can do all this stuff? Thanks Fabrizio? Is the price fixed or negotibale? I traveled last month to Bangkok for some muay thai gear shopping. This is what I have experience. Boonsport The classic velcro glove are sold for bht and the the plain black retro shorts for bht. Unfortunately no discount. I got only a free shirt. There hand wraps are made from bad quality. And not worth buying. When the velcro stick on the fabric of hand wrap. It will tear loose the fabric of the hand wrap. Super Export Shop Nice store with a wide variety of muay thai gear. Bought a lot of muay gear. Not everything is on stock. Unfortunately no great discount. I got only discount on the bag glove. Action Zone Bought some hand wraps premium and namman muay oil. Hand wrap are value for money. Also unfortunately got a small discount on totally purchase. Thank you for sharing our experience and keeping us updated. I have yet to visit Boon this year but share the same experience for the other two stores. I updated this article last month. Hi Anthony, if you mean in Bangkok, I have not come across any Hayabusa gear before. You will find mainly made-in-Thailand gear in Thailand. Got the brochure pushed into my chest, added to the experience lol. Proceeded to action zone where again you were spot on with the friendly customer service. Got myself a great pair of windy boxing gloves! Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. A great article, but can be even better if a Map locator was used. Hi Zeke! Thanks for the great suggestion. I will update the article with map locator soon! Do these shops only sell Muay Thai gear? What about just boxing gloves? Thanks Reply. A new shop opened up last May when I was there called Bull Sports you should consider investigating next time Reply. Cheers mate! Hi William! Here are some of my personal favorites and you can see which fits your budget: 1 Room Bangkok Guesthouse feel, easy going 2 Citypoint Hotel Very accessible, staff are so-so, rooms are very nice but showers can be hard to get the right temperature 3 Furamaxclusive Asoke Hotel I really like this 4-star hotel with bathtubs which occasionally offer great deals on hotel booking websites like agoda Send me an email if you have more questions. Thank you very much for your superb article! Kind regards! Mirko Reply. Hi Kay, Thank you for answering my question. Hand wraps you can try top king brand Reply. Hi Kay, Let me put it this way. Hi Kay! Thank you for this detailed information! Thank you Reply. Check email Reply. Hi Kay, I traveled last month to Bangkok for some muay thai gear shopping. Please do not hesitate if you have questions about my muay thai gear shopping comment. Thanks, Harold Reply. Hi Harold, Thank you for sharing our experience and keeping us updated. Kay Reply. Do you know any place that sells Hayabusa gear? Hi kay thanks for your useful information. That is some really nice information regarding muay thai gear. Thankyou once again, your recommendations were spot on Kind regards, Tim Reply. Note : All prices listed below in the article are in Thai Baht. Note: Shops are marking up the prices and then offer a discount, a practice that is getting more widespread in Bangkok. And this guide is pretty much all you need. Fairtex Gloves BGV1. Shin Guards.
