Seven individuals aged between 17 and 30 were arrested in three separate raids, the police said on Thursday. The police arrested four individuals — two men and two women — aged between 17 and 24 in connection to the raid. The police also raided a private residence on Triq is-Serkin where substantial amounts of cocaine and heroin were found. The drugs were ready to be trafficked. In total, the police found packets of drugs. Three men aged between 20 and 30 were arrested on Wednesday afternoon. The police was informed that the men were using different vehicles and were in possession of drugs. The police followed the suspects until they stopped on Mdina Road, Qormi. Cocaine already packaged to be trafficked were found in one of the cars belonging to the suspect. A substantial amount of money in cash was found. Raids were carried out on their homes as well as in a car showroom. The four individuals arrested in Marsa will be arraigned on Thursday afternoon before duty magistrate Josette Demicoli.
