A cocaine dealer had a collection of designer clothes, trainers and watches along with a flash car which he did not want his partner to know the whereabouts of, a court has heard. But he confessed its location to cops when they swooped on him after he had taken his dog for a walk. Sending the defendant to prison a judge told him he had become involved in the murky world of dealing dealing an insidious drug which was a blight on society. Swansea Crow Court that on the evening of November 4 last year police officers were carrying out surveillance on a Port Talbot flat prior to executing a search warrant at the property. Tom Scapens, prosecuting, said as officers kept watch on the block, Mainwaring was seen to leave and take a dog for a walk before returning home. Shortly afterwards the defendant left again and got into a nearby VW Caddy van. The court heard officers then 'swarmed' the vehicle and detained the driver. Also found on the year-old defendant was a key for a Mercedes car, and the prosecutor said Mainwaring told officers where the vehicle was parked and that they would find cannabis in it. The court heard the defendant told officers he kept the car at another location some five miles away from where he lived 'so his girlfriend did not known where it was'. When officers found and searched the Mercedes AMG they found 39g of cannabis, weighing scales, and a large quantity of empty snap-seal bags. The prosecutor said it appeared to police that Mainwaring' was living a 'lavish lifestyle'. When the defendant's phone was examined police found messages relating to the supply of cocaine and cannabis, along with a tick list of moneys owed by customers. Read about a 'greedy' young cocaine dealer who was supplying wholesale quantities of coke to fellow dealers for onward supply. Mainwaring subsequently answered 'no comment' to all questions asked during his interview. He has one pervious conviction for one offence, an assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Ian Ibrahim, for Mainwaring, said the defendant had found school 'difficult' and had been told to leave home by his step-father at the age of 16 but had gone on to college and gained qualifications in a range of trades and skills including carpentry, bricklaying, and groundworks. He said his client had worked up until when the project he was employed on came to an end, and after losing his job the defendant began to suffer with anxiety and depression, began drinking, and was later introduced to cocaine. The barrister said Mainwaring was remorseful for what he had done, and for 'the shame he has brought upon those who love him'. Judge Huw Rees told Mainwaring he was impressed by the way he had essentially brought himself up and found good work, but he said the defendant had subsequently become involved in the 'murky world' of dealing the insidious drug cocaine which was a 'blight' on society. With a one-quarter discount for his guilty pleas Mainwaring was sentenced to a 32 months in prison comprising 32 months for possession of cocaine with intent to supply, six months for possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and two months for possession of the cash all to run concurrently. The defendant will serve up to half the 32 months in prison before being released on licence to serve the remainder in the community. And, at least until recently, Newtown Lane in East Hampton Village was also the place where you could buy couture cocaine from a Mercedes-driving drug pusher, who would pick you up at a high-end Italian restaurant and take you to a more secluded spot to make the deal. And this was no street drug cut with fentanyl or bath salts. Michael Khodorkovskiy is accused of catering to clients in East Hampton where he would meet them at an Itralian restaurant and take them to a more secluded spot to do the deal. Alexander Dyatchin moved from Florida to a summer rental in the Hamptons. The alleged drug dealers are said to have operated on the exclusive Newtown Lane in East Hampton. Police say the two men ran a cocaine delivery service that served high-end locations in the Hamptons from Newtown Lane out to the prestigious Montauk Yacht Club, and everywhere in between. Khodorkovskiy, a US citizen, was picked up around noon on August 2 near his home in Brooklyn. He had been previously convicted of choking someone in New York City, and is currently on probation. However, according to prosecuting attorney Rob Archer, both men are facing even more charges, with the potential of either or both being remanded without the possibility of bail. The arrests have sent shock waves through the resorts — nowhere more than at Cittanuova, a classy Italian restaurant in the elite East Hamptons neighborhood, where unknown to its owners Khodorkovskiy met his clients. Police say several of the drug transactions took place at the exclusive Montauk Yacht Club. The yacht club sits on 16 acres on Star Island, near the very tip of Long Island and is the biggest marina in the Hamptons. None of the businesses whose addresses are named in the criminal complaints have been implicated in any wrongdoing. Both men pick up their clients, went for a short drive, and complete the drug sale, prosecutors say. Khodorkovskiy appeared in court for arraignment in Riverhead, New York on August Bounce Beach restaurant in Montauk is among the places where Dyatchin allegedly sealed his deals. Cops say Dyatchin met his clients in a number of different East End restaurants, including Rosie's a hip eatery in Amagansett. Khodorkovskiy is currently facing 47 felony charges, with the most serious being four charges of the sale of a narcotic in the first degree, an A-1 felony. The four sales were each over two ounces of pure cocaine, the charges state. Archer indicated that Khodorkovskiy has not yet been charged with possession in the first degree, following the raid of his Brooklyn residence, which he said is in the offing. In addition, Archer indicated that more charges are coming, including the toughest drug laws in New York State, which would charge the defendants as drug kingpins. He had recently moved back to The Hamptons from Florida. Police seized the Mercedes Benz they say he worked out of, as well as a motorcycle. While Khodorkovskiy dealt exclusively with couture cocaine, Dyatchin also made several sales of MDMA, known on the street as Molly or Ecstasy in Montauk, to undercover agents. Newtown Lane is home to many expensive designer shops including Prada and Louis Vuitton. Dyatchin rented this home in The Springs, a less salubrious area of East Hampton. He also pointed out the likelihood of even more serious charges being filed, to justify the high bail request. Tony Mirvis, representing Khodorkovskiy, and Kenneth Russo, on behalf of Dyatchin, both argued against the high bail amount. Mirvis pointed out that his client has never missed a court date, and that such high bail was tantamount to a remand without bail. Russo said that his client has never been arrested before and had family in the courtroom. Born in Russia, Archer said Dyatchin is a citizen of Serbia. Privacy Policy Feedback.
