Sandra Low. Home About Library. HOPe Learning to write is learning to think. Hi guys! Also, a milestone that I wanted to remember and give thanks for everything that happened. My posting was supposed to end on Friday We had our last day and it was Tuesday But did you know that Temerloh is actually the second largest town in Pahang after Kuantan, usually refers to the territory under administration of Temerloh Municipal Council or Majlis Perbandaran Temerloh, which includes the smaller towns adjacent to the city such as Mentakab, Lanchang, Kuala Krau and Kerdau. Patin fresh water catfish is well-known as their local delicacy. However, she is filthy rich and live in a huge and luxury semi-d house with swimming pool she claimed to do AirBnB which her house is just 2 streets across from our homestay. She might look rowdy, but she is very kind-hearted and down-to-earth. She toured us around Temerloh with her Mercedes, introducing us few places to eat and groceries shopping. Also, she brought over some vegetables planted by herself in her own piece of garden. Our homestay is pretty big and spacious. Living in such a big house, we had all the comfort we need but also it comes with great responsibility, which we have to maintain the cleanliness of the house. However, the advance bonus here is that we have weekly cleaning every Tuesday for the common space of the whole house, that includes washing the toilet by the cleaner. Where to get such a privilege like this? T hank you so much to whoever the cleaner is for easing our burden. Jalan Selayang, our homestay. I worked in the rehabilitation department, which is situated at the very left-hand side of the hospital with a separate building. Personally, I was very anxious and reluctant initially because of the strict SOP, wearing blue scrub and shower every time after ward round. Not forgetting that posting was fun having the companionship of KSKB girls. Slowly we became closer and went for many hang outs. Remembering each and every one of them with their unique personalities: Sarah: The eldest, also the one looks like ketua gangster. Wawa: The skin-care specialist, she is caring and very talkative. Perhaps all these criteria will make her the best salesgirl joking , but in all seriousness, she will be successful because of how she approaches and make connections with others. Azyan: She may seem a little quiet but she makes good and meaningful conversations. She has a kind-heart and hard-working. My neuro posting buddy. I can see the elegance of hers not just by her outlook, but her heart. Jaja: Has nobody ever encouraged or mentioned to her that she can go for modelling or something? He is a real gem. He literally knows what we want and remembers our orders. Each of them is very welcoming, friendly and generous. Almost everyone of them treated us a meal HAHA. But it is not really about the meal nor money, it is about the fellowship and making our stay a comfortable and easy one as they introduced us around where to eat, what to get and offering help whenever we need. Also, thanks for giving me the opportunity to serve in one of the Sunday services. It is always a privilege to be able to serve God and His people. Jonathan - Cajonist Justin - Guitarist. He is the boss, OG of Temerloh. He carries great humour. Thanks for sparring out your time to go through worship practice with me on Saturday, treated me a real good breakfast and also toured me around in Mentakab. Thanks for introducing us the best satay in town! They are passionate for Christ, hospitable and generous to people around them. I really see them carrying the light and love of Christ to whoever they meet. I really wanted to thank them for reaching out to us, spend time with us despite having busy working schedule, and also not forgetting the number of times they treat us meals. UKM graduated dentists. Thanks for the day-trip at your hometown, Kuantan. Never know can witness beautiful sunset there too. Mini Zoo. Teluk Cempedak. Only the second time we went with Ah Boay and we got to see elephant showering and feeding show. Deerland RM 7 adult to see deers and a lot of animals, but a lot are like small sizes animals and imported ones. However, we decided to spend a Saturday up there because we finished our second subject of exams and presentation. We thought that we deserved some rest. It was really dangerous to stand right on the railway to snap these photos because of right underneath is the big teh tarik river. Thank you Evian for everything. This posting is fun and memorable because of you, thanks for hosting us, introducing us Mentakab, a very nice place with many good local food! I really miss cute baby Lex. Really love his sense of humor and haram jokes he made. Taman Tasik Temerloh 5 mins walk away from our homestay. Not forgetting we went to the park at midnight 11pm to play tanglung with KSKB girls. Receiving food from therapists, free meals treated by therapists and teacher Ms. Never met such a generous guy like him. Best water filter according to research haha and we no longer need to carry 2 big bottles 9L to fill water. After a good 3 years of not seeing each other, she still remembers me and asked me out for a meal. Another 2 new friends made because of her, she is really good at connecting people and that explains she won the best PR post. Last but not least, I want to thank our teach teach Ms. Fadhilah for her endless patience, guidance, teaching, and believing in us. Posting is so much fun and of value because she was our clinical instructor CI. Thank you for making time for the 3 of us different subjects just so that we are on track with our learning progress. Thank you for having our back and teach us even when we ask stupid questions or just not sure how to perform it. At last, just want to say thanks for being a role model for students to follow. Temerloh posting is a wholesome experience overall. The Year of Travelling - I remembered the 17 year-old me given myself an unspoken goal silent wish that I have to travel overseas at least once every year. Little did I know, it was really happening until I felt so surprised and surreal. Waiting for the pandemic to cease so that travel can happen again as soon. So I'm just sharing from my personal encounters and feedback ya. I hope this won't bored you but may be spark some interest for you to further discover the countries if you find it amusing. Also, information nowadays are just over-flooding the internet and accessible at your finger tips. A lot of people asked me how did I get the money to travel? I really have no answer to this but simply just because I believe so much in the value and worth of travelling that I somehow push for it to happen. And was the utmost busiest year for me, I only managed to work once during the mid-year semester break together with Henri and Loc in running errands, selling business apps and collecting name cards to earn some fast cash. Apart from that as a source of my finance support, I have to fork out my own personal savings and not forgetting the biggest share of support given by my own family members because they believe in me. I'm really lucky enough to have them and always reminding myself not to take this privilege for granted. Here we go A very beautiful esthetic place with many cultural and historical building. It is an Airbnb stay and I think this is perhaps the best accommodation stay out of the rest. They provide everything like toiletries, they have this small playroom like a hide-out for you to chill, it has a clean and comfortable surroundings. I remember our room toilet was so clean like a 5 stars hotel. Unfortunately, we only got one night spent there :. Moving on, next on our list is: Zgorzelec, Poland. A 3 days 2 nights Physiotherapy Conference was held in Zgorzelec, Poland. It was one of the scariest times for me to be on this stage. I still remember the fear of presenting on this international stage platform in front of roughly audiences internationally. I was pretty upset because I feel like I didn't give all out, my best towards this. We went through the hustle of preparing a research project within 2 months so short and successfully presented on this international stage. On the last day, we managed to visit this Physiotherapy Centre which owned by Prof. This center is well-equipped with a lot of facilities cater to different physiotherapy services. They have a lot of advance technologies and limited edition machines. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the warm hospitality of the people there, the astounding places and scenery. Every event that took place was very memorable. Like the Gala Night, the appreciation dinner alongside with the polish dance etc. One thing that I missed a lot is definitely the morning breakfast buffet at hotel Palac Lagow. After completed our agenda, which was the research presentation and conference, we were free to have fun in our remaining travelling days without any worries and burden HAHA. The following country is Prague, Czech Republic. A very pretty famous iconic spot would be the Charles bridge. Originally constructed in , this is one of the oldest standing bridges in the world. All the statues on the bridge are replicas because the originals are in the national museum. Firstly, I really want to thank Mr. Thiru for this golden opportunity as he has planned all the way and be the guide for us throughout the whole trip. It is definitely a remarkable trip which we as students gained experience, enhanced our knowledge, acquired skills, learned different cultures, and met new people across the world. It is an NGO that is transforming the lives of underprivileged people with disability since They run extensive programs in rural and urban Karnataka to enable, equip and empower children and adults with a range of disabilities including locomotor, spinal cord injury, speech and hearing, cerebral palsy, and to some extent, mental issues. They offer many kinds of program like early intervention, inclusive education, vocational rehabilitation, livelihood programs, collaborations etc. The workers there were very hospitable and welcoming to us. I really love the passion and mission in this place. They are always friendly and make sure our needs are being taken care. On the first day of the attachment, we got to learn some Indian cultural dances that move to kick start our journey in APD, followed by visiting every fascinating facility in this association. On the second day, we got to observe in the early intervention side of the association. It did stir and spark an interest in paediatrics field for me. Another highlight was the Hydrotherapy session. We got to learn and experience by being physically down in the pool alongside with Miss Divya. As for the third day, we went to another site branch of APD. This site offers the horticulture training that mainly treats patients who have spinal cord injuries. I enjoyed the class and some hands-on assessment on the live patients. In the afternoon, we visited this prosthetics and orthotics site. This machine takes down the accurate measurement of the body parts just by simply put the mechanical pen towards your waist. What truly amazed and greatly impacted me is the hearts behind all these people here in APD who have worked together to make this place a home and a hope for them disable people. After the end of this training course in APD, we got to visit one of the biggest and well-known hospital in Bengaluru. It is called the Jindal Naturecure Institute. I would say its an interesting, unique and eye-opening hospitable because they also incorporate the traditional ways of treatment to patients, like naturopathy etc. The aim of the Institute is not only to provide relief or to cure the ailments, but also to educate people how to have a sound health. Unlike the hot and humid weather here in Malaysia. Food is good and special as they have different spices to enhance their delicacies as majority people there are vegetarian. I enjoyed all the visits to those scenic spots which Mr. Thiru has brought us. We got to see the beauty of historical buildings like Bangalore and Mysore Palaces. In just short few days, we went to a lot of different and other places like the high-end shopping malls, beautiful garden, recreational park, antique museum etc. One memorable thing we did was a visit to the Anganwadi, a community centre for the underprivilege kids located at the slump area. Despite the short time spent with the kids, they were very happy and joyful. Seeing the smiles on their faces touched my heart and I learned the importance of giving our care, attention and love to one another. My heart was full of joy when I saw the kids filled with joy and happiness when we interacted and spent time with them. Not forgetting to express my gratitude to the rest of the students who had taken part in this trip which is an enjoyable experience. I look forward to more trips like this in future. She is Rebecca, my classmate a. She is a very good friend of mine, sister in Christ whom I can count on. Her way of living always inspired me to live a greater life with faith. She never fail to encourage me to trust God more. She is a worship leader in her church. So, today is like 2 days before CNY. Everyone has left and gone back hometown except for me and Bax. My flight was this morning back to KK, whereas her flight was at night. Then, she sent me off at bus-stop. At night, I offered myself to pick her up from KK airport and we decided to go for supper. It is proven and testified by a lot of people who came and tried. It is located at Hilltop, the middle one out of all the rows of shops. Do check it out and leave no regrets. You can find out more pictures and reviews on Facebook. Another great food being discovered!! If you would like to have a glimpse of taste of different types of delicacies around different countries in just one stop. So, we happened to just finish with our Sports Meet event Physio Club yesterday. For today Thursday , we only have one class in the early morning, which starts at 8am. With that being said, we decided to settle our house Wifi stuff at TM point which must be done only at the Cyberjaya branch. So, as a class, we made it as a small outing to Cyberjaya and plan to have our lunch there. We simply looked through google search and try to see any nearby recommended restaurant and we came across this one. It has a pretty good review and people said that the portion there is big and fulfilling. Without hesitation, we drove there and check that place out! To find out, they serve a fusing of Arabian, American, Mexican, French, Russian, Chinese, and Italian into incredible new tasty innovations. But one thing for sure which all have agreed with, which the one set portion of a meal is really big until the guy who eats the most big eater in our group said that he barely could finish it. Then, the waiter slowly pour in the meat, different kinds of meat and sort of like cook heat it up on the spot :P. It was a bomb seeing the smoke with the strong tasty smell of the dish that made it super mouth-watering. To realize, there are chicken, beef, lamb and fish. It was a legit real mix grills :D We were given the choice of either rice or wrap. Wrap with fillings inside :P. Mix Grills : RM Front cover of the Menu. With classmates :D. Enjoying the feast : Our lunch time being together. Powered by Create your own unique website with customizable templates. Get Started.
