PRESENTER and DJ Ashley James has revealed that she was given detention in school due to the size of her breasts.
The reality TV star appeared on Yahoo’s podcast White Wine Question Time with Kate Thornton where she explained that her 30GG boobs got her in trouble after she hugged her brother.
She explained: “I got detention for hugging my brother outside.
“The teachers said, ‘Will the people in town know he’s your brother and what are they going to think when there's a blonde girl with big boobs canoodling with a boy outside?’
“My morality was always put into question, even by the teachers. I was almost treated like I was going to be a bit loose-moraled because I had big boobs and everything.
“I was just always made to feel ashamed.”
Ashley, 32, attended top private school Sedbergh in Cumbria which charges almost £12,000 a year for full board.
And the presenter said that having such large breasts at the age of 14 meant that she was subjected to foul comments from her male peers at the school.
She continued: “The boys would come up to me and say… all this gross stuff, but rather than the teachers correcting their behaviour, they were saying to me: ‘You can't wear these clothes’.
“But then all my friends were allowed to wear the same clothes.
“As a 14-year-old girl that was really confusing for me because I was like, ‘Why am I not allowed?’
“Before I was sexual, the teachers were treating me as if I was sexually active and I find that mad. Looking back I was being punished essentially for my body.”
Ashley became so downcast by the experience that she deliberately altered her appearance in an attempt to blend in.
She told Kate: “I started to think if I want to be taken seriously, I need to start covering up my body, not wearing makeup.
“I wore glasses and I didn't even need glasses. How ludicrous is that? Just because I was like what can I do to be taken seriously.”
It was after moving to London that the Northumberland-born star felt she was finally taken seriously.

We exist to sustain and develop Black teachers to lead and reimagine schools as communities of liberated learning. Our vision is that every student will benefit from the diversity, excellence, and leadership of an empowered Black teaching force.
The Black Teacher Leadership and Sustainability Institute is BTP’s signature professional development offering - an experiential institute providing ample opportunities for Black teachers to share, reflect and set intentions for how to lead from the classroom. Teachers deepen their commitment, relationships and agency while developing strategies for leadership and sustainability.
We have launched an online Membership Platform for current TK-12 Black teachers. Our goal is to co-create a space of joyful and meaningful community for Black teachers throughout the country. Share resources, jobs and other opportunities, and support your fellow Black teachers to thrive!
A national landscape analysis of racial affinity groups focused on supporting educators of color.
The first step to developing an expansive and empowered Black teaching force is not recruitment, but rather retention , of current Black teachers. It is imperative to sustain and develop existing Black teachers so that they can lead the change needed to make schools more welcoming and supportive for new recruits. The professional development programs we offer focus on building the leadership capacity and pedagogical skills needed to transform schools into communities where learning experiences are equitable, responsive, and liberating.
For many, this moment we are in has lifted up a need to reimagine schools, but Black teachers have already been leading this work and continue to play an essential role in transforming schools into communities where all students are able to thrive. As Black teachers have experienced and navigated anti-Blackness as students and adults, they possess an inherent lens that is unique and critical to abolishing oppressive policies inside and outside of schools. It is BTP’s work to lift up and propel the gifts of Black teachers. We do this by supporting them with the tools and community support needed to sustain and develop themselves as classroom educators. Through our racial-affinity based professional development, wellness events, and an expanding BTP community, our program fosters the awareness, confidence, skill, sense of agency, and rejuvenation that Black teachers need to be effective leaders of change.
BTP is a program of the National Equity Project .

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands -- A teacher at a Dutch school stood up on her desk in front of all of her students and began taking off her shirt and pants. Photos and video taken of the teacher’s strip tease were posted to Facebook and were quickly shared all over. But once Debby Heerkens, a science teacher at Groene Hart Rijnwoude School, had removed her outer layers her students realized she was wearing a skintight suit showing the entire muscular structure on her body. She then removed that to show the students another suit showing internal organs and a 3rd suit featuring the skeletal structure.
This is likely a lesson Heerkens’ students won’t soon forget.
