"Bullet Holes" is the lead single from The Kingdom , the eighth studio album by English rock band Bush. It featured in the 2019 action film John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum . [2]

In allusion to the song's musical content, Rolling Stone detailed "echoy blues guitar riffs" and "seething bass", [1] descending into a " punk " style". [1]

A strong resemblance between the style of "Bullet Holes" and U2 's " Bullet the Blue Sky " has been remarked upon. [1]

The music video for "Bullet Holes" was directed by Jesse Davey. [2]

Album: John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum ( 2019 )
This song features in the Keanu Reeves-starring action movie John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum . Gavin Rossdale originally penned "Bullet Holes" with film composer Tyler Bates for a Bush record. At that time Bates was working on the score for the John Wick film and once Rossdale sang the chorus, he felt the song would be a perfect complement to the project.
Rossdale explained to SiriusXM's Larry Flick that when he wrote "Bullet Holes" with Bates they didn't have the John Wick movie in mind; in fact they had a different track as a potential song for the movie. "And then just the way that the words that I wrote just really fit with the whole symphony thing, and bullet holes, obviously," he added.

In "I Walk The Line," Johnny Cash hums before each verse. He did this to get his pitch, as the song changes key several times.
Billy Joel is surprised that "Piano Man" is so successful. He called it "an old, long song about a guy at a depressing piano bar."
Kiss sing about "movin' fast on 95" in "Detroit Rock City," but I-95 doesn't go through Detroit (I-75 does) so they published the lyric as "Movin' fast, doin' 95."
David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" was likely based on various musicians in his ambit, including Iggy Pop (zIGGY), and Jimi Hendrix, who played guitar left-handed ("He played it left hand").
Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" is about Christie Brinkley, who he married, but it started as a song about Elle McPherson, who he also went out with.
"Everybody Have Fun Tonight" is a rare hit with the band's name used as a verb: "Everybody Wang Chung tonight." The band says it can mean whatever you'd like it to.
Iron Maiden, Adele, Toto, Eminem and Earth, Wind & Fire are just some of the artists with songs directly inspired by movies - and not always good ones.
The "Midnight At The Oasis" singer is an Old Time gal. She talks about her jug band beginnings and shares a Dylan story.

Great song can picture JW running and gunning in slow motion when listening to it.

I really like this song, I get lost in the riff.

I'm on the highway, I'm walking 'cross America
Sweat stain in my blue suede shoes
Race wars, Star Wars, planet wars, mind wars
Tryna find ways to get to you
Always on the precipice, candy wish
So what would you prescribe?
'Cause every moment's something sacred, yeah
It's such a wild ride

Higher than I've ever been
Higher than I've ever been
Higher

Bullet holes
All you leave behind
Now I know
I see you cut and dried
I used to wish in symphonies
Higher than I've ever been
I used to wish in symphonies
Higher than I've ever been

Left in the rain to the sound of the sirens
Jet planes with the battle blues
Lifeblood, bad blood, my blood, your blood
The state of danger in this human zoo
Just caught in the wheels of machinery
Fragments to construct a core, yeah
Wish I could sleep more easily
Are you the one I've been waiting for?

Higher than I've ever been
Higher than I've ever been
Higher

Bullet holes
All you leave behind
Now I know
I see you cut and dried
I used to wish in symphonies
Higher than I've ever been
I used to wish, I used to wish in symphonies
Higher than I've ever been

They closed our path through deserted streets
Downtown ghosts shuffling in their feet
I will never stop fighting for you
Never stop fighting

Bullet holes
All you leave behind
Now I know
I see you cut and dried
Bullet holes
I thought I was inside
I used to wish, I used to wish in symphonies
Higher than I've ever been

Thanks to Pyro for correcting these lyrics.
