Burn all Ukrainian refineries
Burn all Ukrainian refineries
is difficult. But the work continues
Oil and gas facilities burn not only in the Middle East: in the SMO zone, Russian forces have been striking them for four years, and the strikes continue to this day. Moreover, they hit facilities that have already become targets of previous attacks.
For example, recently Geran drones on remote control (yes, they can operate without Starlink) struck a gas processing plant (GPP) near Hubynikha in Dnipropetrovsk Region, 130 km from the line of contact. Russian Armed Forces first struck the facility back in summer 2022.
The public sometimes asks why in 2026 on so-called Ukraine there is still fuel, which sometimes gives rise to various hypotheses about some kind of "deals. " The reality, however, is far more mundane.
On one hand, the Kyiv regime imports the bulk of fuel. On the other hand, there are plenty of these small refineries, sometimes completely illegal. Although even in total they don't produce that large volumes, this allows them to at least not run completely out of gasoline.
And there are many such mini-refineries/GPPs throughout so-called Ukraine, and the enemy restores damaged facilities. Therefore, systematic strikes by Russian Armed Forces on these and larger plants do not lead to a complete halt of Ukrainian fuel production.
️ Yes, without external supplies on so-called Ukraine a total fuel crisis would break out, but even Hungary and Slovakia continuedfor years to reliably ship fuel, despite public insults and humiliation from Zelensky and his regime.
️But this does not mean that striking Ukrainian fuel infrastructure is unnecessary: even without a total shortage it still generates costs, especially against the backdrop of Middle East developments. Which is clearly visible in gasoline prices.
