Burdcrew Rules

Updated: February 10, 2026

  Welcome to the Burdcrew!

All avians, prehistoric, mythical, or fictional, are welcome here. (Gryphons, raptors, avali, etc.) Bats, keepers of the night sky, are considered honarary birds!

What is our purpose?

To better the fandom with our amazing avian antics! You now have a feathery family!

Chat, share, and flirt freely with your fellow birds, but be respectful and follow these rules to prevent unnecessary molting.

GENERAL GROUP RULES:

ADVERTISING: Promoting your art, products, hobbies, and/or services is welcome in the group, but please be mindful of frequency.

Direct promotion of social media and paywall content is not allowed. (E.g. Twitter, Patreon, etc.)

We welcome discussion of livestreams, be it art, games, and other content. However we do not allow "going live" messages or obtrusive advertisement of streams.

You may not use the group exclusively as an advertising space, we expect you to be a participating member of the community first.

ATTENTION-SEEKING: Members are discouraged from using the chat as a place to vent, trauma-dump, pan-handle, inject divisive topics into a healthy discussion, and chronically use the group in lieu of professional counsel.

If you need assistance, reach out to trusted friends for support or an admin who can help you find a help service.

DEBATES AND DISCUSSIONS: Debates and heavier discussions can and will occur, they are not unwelcome, and potentially serve as a great way to experience personal growth. As such, any topic of debate or discussion is expected to be handled respectfully and with an open mind to opposing views.

Discussions are not to become fallacious or emotionally driven. If referencing an article or study; be expected to produce it upon request. Keep it respectful, if you feel yourself getting emotional, take a break. If a member or admin "taps you out" for getting heated, step away for a few minutes and regather yourself. A "tap out" is not a consequence, but a reminder to keep discussions healthy. Abuse of logical fallacies will result in an admin shutting the discussion down. Debates and differing views happen and are not personal attacks, but reacting poorly may have consequences. The admins may intervene at their discretion, if a discussion at any point that it becomes hostile, devolves, becomes circular, or goes on too long.

Political discussion is generally discouraged from the group. There will be occasional exceptions to this, which will be monitored by the admin team, but for everyone's sanity; please find a different outlet if you need to discuss politics.

HARASSMENT: Members are not to engage in harassing, "call-out" or brigading type behavior at any time and are to instead report issues to the admin team.

Hostility/unwelcome advances towards members, even via private message or on other platforms is not permitted. If you feel like you are being harassed; first, ask the person to stop. If they persist, take screenshots and talk to an admin.

If another member has asked you to leave them alone, is not responding to your messages, or has blocked you; you should respect their distancing. Do not call them out in the group and remain respectful in shared space. If you absolutely need to talk to them, you may ask them politely to PM you once, but if they decline or do not respond, leave them alone.

BIGOTRY/DISCRIMINATION: Members are never at any time permitted to use harmful language or otherwise behave in a discriminatory manner for any reason. Our group nurtures acceptance and inclusion. Hatred has no place here.

Any disparaging remarks made towards, about, or in reference to an individual or group of people based on race, religion, sexuality, gender identity, lifestyle, et al. is unwelcome. It is expected of you to understand what words and phrases may be considered pejoratives, but in general; any term or phrase that portrays negatively, hatefully, or unwelcomingly sexualizes, any person or group of people, should not be said. Affiliation with hate groups or observed behavior supporting discrimination, in or out of our group will result in removal.

BLOCKING ADMINS: Members are not to block admins. If you have a specific reason to need to block an admin, please discuss it with a member of the admin team you are comfortable with. Reasonable accommodation may be made, but with equal limitations.

CONTENT QUALITY: The groups maintain an atmosphere of open discussion and ever-evolving conversation. Chronic disruption to this flow is frowned upon. Overuse of stickers, memes, and other disruptive behavior (Shitposting) is not allowed in the groups. Participate in conversations and contribute meaningfully to discussions.

AI GENERATED MEDIA: AI Generated Media is not allowed in the group. Full stop.

We support our artists and recognize the harmful nature that AI generated media presents to the creative backbone of our communities and the livelihoods of the artists we love. As such we ask that AI Generated media not be shared in the groups.

NSFW MEDIA: Our group has two channels, one for safe-for-work (SFW) content, the other for those aged 18 years and older! Not Safe For Work (NSFW) media is not permitted in the SFW group at any time, this includes artistic nudity or anything that would get you sent to HR for viewing in a proverbially classic office environment. The age-restricted channel has an additional set of rules that may be viewed below.

Message an admin if you are interested in joining the adult group. Proof of age will be required.

BACKSEAT MODERATION: Members are welcome and encouraged to assist admins by reporting violations and potential issues. Members found to be overreaching that boundary by telling other members how to behave or staff how to perform their duties will face consequences.

RULE-LAWYERING: Admins have the final say on the enforcement of these rules. Members who attempt the following will be subject to warning or removal, depending upon severity:

    1: Playing Semantics

    2: Fishing for loopholes

3: Arguing/Debating once instructed to stop.

4: Attempting to undermine, manipulate, or create discourse within the group or admin team.

5: "It's not a written rule." is not an excuse for bad behavior.

NON-SPECIFIC PROBLEM BEHAVIORS: Membership of the group is a privilege, not a right, and so admins may take action as needed to ensure the health and safety of the group at their own discretion. These actions include, but are not limited to:

    1: Changes to member(s) permissions

    2: Issuing warnings to member(s)

    3: Removing member(s) from group

  • When posting multiple images at once, they should be sent using Telegram's album feature, not individually, and not more than ten images in ten minutes.
  • Members who participate in the SFW group must have a non-NSFW profile pic.
  • Behaviors outside of the groups may be taken into consideration as well. (e.g. If you harass people in other groups or on social media, we may remove you.)

"AFTER DARK" RULES:

Welcome to the Burdscrew Afterdark!

If you’re a bird, you’re probably also a flirty bird! Or maybe a dirty bird…

Posting of pornographic material and adult discussions is welcome in the AD group as long as you are 18 years of age or older and follow the rules.

REAL-LIFE ADULT MEDIA: Adult natured real-life media is not allowed. This extends to explicit fursuit pics as well. Fursuit pics may be suggestive, but may not show genitalia or use explicit accessories.

Some websites, such as product pages for adult toys, may have explicit real-life imagery on them, but may still be shared if including a brief warning to other members of its contents.

When showing off products of your own, whether purchased or created, be courteous and give the group a heads-up. Please make sure it is presented tastefully and not in any sort of "used" state.

FETISH MATERIAL: Not everyone is on the same level of sexual comfort. Some kinks may be unwelcome to the broader audience. Please be respectful and ask the room or an admin first. For light and medoum fetishes, please utilize Telegram's "Spoiler" feature to obfuscate content and use text to describe what is being obfuscated. (i.e. "CW: Vore") Light and medium fetish material that should be obfuscated may include but is not limited to; non-con, watersports, blood, vore... Heavy fetish material such as gore, scat, snuff, and others like are not allowed in the group at all. If you're unsure, please ask an admin.

FERAL SONAS AND FERAL ART: Pornographic art depicting "feral-style" characters is allowed, including species-specific genitalia. However the media must clearly hallmark anthropormophic sentience, consent, and adult age of species. If these hallmarks can not be clearly identified, do not post the material. Fictional "feral" species, such as gryphons, dragons, deathclaws, etc. get a full pass so long as they are not interacting with a non-fictional species that does not pass the above qualifiers.

If an admin determines a piece does not meet this criteria, then it is not a point of debate. Our goal throughout this process is to give no ground to zoophilic content. We understand and celebrate fictional fantasy in porn and sexuality, however we also have to factor in that such total freedoms would invite attention and therefore we must protect ourselves and our communities from unwanted infiltration or even legal consequence.

ILLEGAL CONTENT: Any sharing of media content that is illegal will result in the immediate removal of the person(s) involved.

Pornographic art depicting minors or questionably underage individuals, human, anthro or otherwise, is strictly disallowed.

If you’re unsure, ask an admin first. Do not “play in the grey area”, if you post something that is questionably against the rules or laws; the admins will respond accordingly.

BE AN ADULT: (Literally, too.) Certain levels of maturity are expected of you. If something arises that is not to your taste; simply look past it. If you feel it breaks the rules; message an admin.

Pornographic art may include humans, but it must be predominately furry/anthro in nature.

Know when to get a room. RP is fine, but when things get hot and heavy; take it to PM! Avoid filling the group with the details of your text-based intimacy.

EVERYTHING ELSE:

APPEALS: Members are permitted to request an appeal in regards to administrative action taken against them. This may be done via the proper channels only (Direct message of an administrator), and not all offenses may be appealed. This is left to admin team discretion.

HOW WE ADMINISTRATE: "To err is human."

Our admin team recognizes that, contrary to our feathery nature, we are all human. We make mistakes. You do it, we do it, not one of us has not done something embarrassingly wrong at one point in our lives. So when somebody in the group says or does something that is wrong, it is in all of our best interests to not further degrade the situation with inflammatory remarks, condemnation, or drawing more unnecessary attention. Simply notify an admin and move on. Let us handle it.

We operate on an individual level. There is no blanket solution to anything in life, and management of individuals is complicated. When a rule in the group is broken, we look at a lot of factors before deciding how to address the issue. (Past behaviors in the groups, behaviors on social media, life circumstances, character statements, etc.) Rarely does a situation require we look so deep, but we have and will when the situation calls for it. We will not dismiss someone from the group if they made a mistake and have the potential for growth. Likewise, we will not permit the continued presence of individuals who are willfully ignorant, choose to deteriorate, or behave selfishly to the detriment of others around them. Admins will not publish or make statements concerning actions taken in response to rules being broken or removal of individuals. Such situations are already sensitive and it is unnecessary to bring attention to someone who may be feeling compromised. We would rather work with individuals and help them learn and gain acceptance than to simply remove them. When removal does occur, it is usually after multiple attempts have been made to correct a behavior, or they did something heinous that forced us to remove them.

Our admin team consists of group members that have proven themselves to be benefactors of the community who demonstrate love and compassion. Our purpose is not to be above the community, but a part of it.

"Everyone is fighting their own battles inside, be kind."

#Burdcrew serves as a place to make new friends, grow relationships, and feel accepted with open wings. Welcome.
