The clitoral hood is a small flap of skin that surrounds and protects the sensitive tip of the clitoris. It is present at the point of the clitoris where the inner lips meet. Clitoris is like the foreskin of males as it is the center point of sexual pleasure in females . It has thousands of nerve endings. Hi I am 18 years old and have never been to a gyno and I am not sexually active; however, I have noticed recently that I have a white bump directly on my clitoris and after doing research I had thought it was a cyst but it has not come to a head and when I tried to pop it because I thought it was a pimple I felt extreme pain as if someone had kicked me on my clitoris. There is no itch and discharge is normal. This white bump makes me rather uneasy and I feel like it could be abnormal since it wasn't always there. I was wondering if anyone knew what this could be?

Hi River1938363.  That is most likely a little blocked gland and nothing to worry about. Does it hurt? It also could be a little sore with infection so do not touch it. If it gets painful or hot to the touch, you may need to tell your mom.  It's nothing to be ashamed of. This stuff happens. But MOST likely, it will resolve on your own. Again, keep your hands off of it to prevent spreading bacteria there.

I have the same thing and idk what it is, and im freaking out because another one is starting appear, im 15, and ive only had sex once, like 3 or 4 months ago, i have the exact same symptoms as u, Iycan, can someone tell me what this is, and I dont think its smegma

Clotrimazol 1%  .. Well I had those white points around clitoris covered by  clitoris hood since I had memory like 8y old... now I am 25 and I put on it Clotrimazol 1% at night then in the morning Cleaned It with toilet paper shower myself and then with clean hands Put again and those white pimples are going away, for fist time in my life I am getting ride of this white points.

Hi, as well as gentle cleaning, I have found vitamin E oil, to be good at alleviating the itch. It comes in a little bottle that you can carry in your handbag. Sometimes it comes free with the vitamin E cream, which is not quite as good for relieving the itch. The oil is better than the cream. Plus, you only need a few drops of the oil 2-3 times a day directly on the spot.
I'd see ur Doctor first and I'd try the oil at home first. The good thing is, it's usually under $10. It's taken months, but now I almost never get an itch and I only get the white dots occasionally.

I have a white bump & its kind of like a dead skin pealing off but it has been there for awhile and it never really caught my attention until now , over the holidays it got soooo red , it looked like a blood blister and then it started bleeding after a couple days. If she is not sexually active then they might tell her it's not required. The last time I went to the doctor (around 18) I mentioned that I had never been to a gynecologist but that I wasn't sexually active. They said that if you're not sexually active and get regular general check-ups (with no suspicious symptoms) then you don't really need to start seeing the gyno regularly until you are 21.

What you're describing is Smegma, I had it too, I just removed it, but it's better that a gyno removes it. This is what Smegma is:

Many people think that just men have smegma, but that is not true. Women also have smegma. Some of you may be asking what is smegma? The definition in the Mirriam-Webster Online Dictionary for smegma is " the secretion of a sebaceous gland; specifically: the cheesy sebaceous matter that collects between the glans penis and the foreskin or around the clitoris and labia minora." The pronunciation example that Mirriam Webster gives is, \'smeg-mə\. Notice that the definition mentions the clitoris and labia minora as well as the penis and foreskin. So there you have it, women have smegma too.
More about smegma
Glands that are located around the clitoris and the vulva secrete sebum. When the sebum is not washed away, it accumulates. The accumulation of sebum combined with dead skin cells forms smegma. Smegma is a white, cheese like substance that sticks to the skin. Some women produce more smegma than others do. Some women may never notice their smegma. Other women may find that they have to cleanse their vaginas several times a day to remove the accumulation of smegma.

What is the purpose of smegma in women?
According to femininehygiene.com, "It is very important for the glans of the clitoris to have adequate lubrication. This permits the clitoral hood to slide over the glans of the clitoris easily and without undue sensitivity or discomfort."

Hygiene and smegma
Proper hygiene is always important. Several problems can arise if smegma is not regularly washed away. One common problem is odor. The build-up of smegma can produce a strong and sometimes unpleasant odor.

When smegma is allowed to accumulate for too long, it can dry out and become hard, which can produce irritation in the vagina. The irritation can present symptoms of pain, burning or feeling itchy. This is particularly the case when smegma accumulates under the clitoral hood.

A more serious complication is clitoral and labial adhesions that can result from the build-up of smegma. A clitoral adhesion is when the clitoral hood becomes attached to the clitoris. When this happens, the clitoral hood can not slide over the clitoris. A labial adhesion is when the labia attach together. This can result in the labia or (lips) not being able to be spread apart from each other. Both clitoral and labial adhesions can cause a great deal of discomfort.

Sometimes clitoral and labial adhesions can be treated at home. One way is gently rub vitamin e oil on the adhesion to try and soften the smegma. This may soften the smegma and release the adhesion. Another way is to soak in a bath to try and soften the smegma and release the adhesion. It is important to be gentle with the area and not try to force the adhesion apart, because vaginal skin is very delicate and can tear easily. If these methods do not work, then a doctor will have to be seen to release the adhesion.

Cleaning smegma and the vagina
Soaps and detergents can be very irritating to the vagina. They can affect the delicate ph balance of the vagina, cause sensitivity reactions and can even cause infections. Really all that is needed to clean the vagina is water. When cleaning the vagina with water, it is important to remember to clean around the labia and to retract the clitoral hood in order to remove smegma that may have collected there. A q-tip or cotton ball may be used to help remove smegma. If smegma is difficult to remove, especially under the clitoral hood, a little bit of vitamin e oil can be used on a q-tip. This method works very well.

Smegma is nothing to worry about
Smegma is naturally produced by a woman's body. As long as proper hygiene practices are used, a woman should not have any problems with smegma.

I have something just like that and it really hurts and it's not going away. I don't want to see a doctor and once I pulled one weird white thing out and 3 more came back!! Btw I'm 13 and not sexually active.

it's most likely build up in the glands of your clitoris, or sometimes i think it could even be toilet paper that got too wet and fell off and just stuck to the clitoris. But again most likely, just a gland blockage, nothing to worry about, i sometimes get them and if they don't come out easily with a little squeeze of the finger, i try to use a q-tip and that usually works. Think of them as tonsil stones but in your genital area

First, you don't need to see a gyno until you are 21 unless you have a problem or are sexually active. Second, I have also had these bumps. I was told that they were from friction such as tight jeans.
