I wonder why this CD does not get more reviews, and positive reviews at that. I find it to be a very solid work by Buckethead. It does not show off his best guitar work but there are some of the best melodies that he has come up with in the past 10 years. I find this CD to be a mix between Electric Tears and Albino Slug...The hardest track, if you can call it that, is "Separate Skies". The whole album is very listenable to. It's not as great as Electric Tears but it is on par with Colma. I find this CD to be much better than Shadows between the Sky.
Came across this artist on YouTube. Looked him up on my Amazon music (which I LOVE) This is a very moving album
Music is very subjective but subjectively this is great.
One of my favorite Buckethead albums. Slower, less manic and more thought out than many of his offerings. There is not a lot of the "noodling", electronic sounds and disjointed playing you find on some of Bucket's stuff. I have close to 40 Buckethead albums and I listen to this one most often. I like a lot of his stuff so it's hard to pick favorites, but this is definitely near the top.
This release is bluesy and mellow, and has a really nice, rich sound that I really like. In terms of intensity, it is in the 'Electric Tears' or 'Population Override' range, but has a feel to it quite unlike either of those two Buckethead CDs. Recommended for both the new initiate or those expanding their Bucket library.
