Yasmin Gasimova made her confession on a blog post where she stated she had no plans to start shaving her body
A female university student has revealed a secret that's set to divide opinion - she doesn't shave her body hair.
Yasmin Gasimova bared all her hair in a blog post, and even showed off her downy black belly hair in a series of pictures.
The 19-year-old from Reading says the only hair grooming she undertakes is on her face - and she removes her natural beard only when she can be bothered.
The first year student at Liverpool University is studying computer science and philosophy. She says she's spent the last eight years not caring about her body hair - and only shaving her legs when she wants a one night stand.

Writing for student newspaper The Tab, Yasmin said: "Being hairy isn't scary. In a society where women are expected to shave, I'm not ashamed to admit I don't.
"I might trim my pubes if I'm going on holiday, but catch me on a normal day when my armpits are bushy and my legs furry, and you might be surprised."
Brunette Yasmin recalls being bullied at school when moustache hairs started to sprout on her upper lip when she was just 10-years-old.
"I was trying to shave my noticeably hairy stomach," she continued. "I was never not self-conscious of my hair, but now I embrace it.
"I stopped caring when I was 11, as having naturally thick, fast-growing hair meant I'd need to waste an hour just to get prickly dots on my legs, which would grow back in a week.
"It's a huge inconvenience for me, as it never made me feel comfortable, gave me loads of ingrown hairs, and my hairless legs wouldn't match the rest of my hairy body."
She reckons that after stopping shaving, she feels much more liberated - but still regularly tames her bushy eyebrows.
Yasmin is so happy with her hirsute look, she reckons she only shaves when she's going on holiday or trying to find a man.
She added: "If I do shave, which is very, very rare, it's for absolute necessity.
"If I'm going on a beach holiday, having swimming lessons, or if I'm trying to pull a one night stand, I'll shave.
"I still unfortunately prefer the inconvenience of shaving to the inevitable dirty looks and rejection."
Following her outspoken post, Yasmin wants other women to embrace their own hairiness, because men are judged by their 'manliness' on their ability to grow beards.
She added: "Although women have just as much body hair, albeit generally thinner and lighter, as a society we have decided they have to be completely hairless in order to be seen as truly feminine.
"But nothing about a woman's natural body should make her feel like less of a woman."
"There is also nothing dirty or unclean about body hair," she continued.
"Besides, we shouldn't hold women to a higher standard of cleanliness than men.
"This is the reality of a woman's body, and it shouldn't be hidden away."

Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham shared on her Instagram page Saturday photos from her—wait for it—vaginal rejuvenation procedure. In one of the pics, the 26-year-old is seen dressed in just a silver bra and lying on a clinic bed at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center while a nurse, Sara Fowler , attends to her...down there.
"Loving my lady parts!" wrote Abraham, who gave birth to her daughter eight years ago.
The clinic's Instagram page also featured a photo of the reality star undergoing her noninvasive procedure. A photographer and cameraman are visible in the pic.
"Today at BHRCLA Teen Mom @farrah__abraham rejuvenating her lady parts! #vaginalrejuvenation #femme360 #teenmom," the post read .
The nurse posted on her own Instagram page more pics of her with Abraham as well as a video explaining the procedure to her.
"What this does is distributes little wounds through radio frequency which kind of breaks up the collagen and forces it to restore during that healing process, so everything becomes tighter and you actually experience," she said.
"Like I'm 16 again?" interrupted Abraham.
"There you go, like you're 16 again!" the nurse responded.
"Today, @farrah__abraham visited us at BHRC to rejuvenate her lady parts," Fowler wrote. "Like so many, she was a little nervous at first but quickly realized there is nothing to fear."

When your 10-year-old screams from the bathroom that they need your help right now, you moan and grumble to yourself that you thought potty training was supposed to free you from these particular shackles. What you don’t do is assume that they’re about to ask you if they can shave off all their pubic hair .
Welcome to the new world order, where pediatricians are now seeing girls who’ve just hit puberty grooming their nether regions. The docs say younger girls are being pushed to go bare because of social media, peer pressure and even internet porn .
But before you start locking down all your kid’s gadgets, let me offer up a slightly less terrifying scenario, courtesy of my own bathroom.
A new survey shows that 62 percent of women prefer to completely remove their pubic hair, while 84 percent say they do at least some grooming. I fall into camp two, someone who has trimmed the bush for years. We have a relatively open-door bathroom policy in our house, and my 10-year-old has walked in on me ‘scaping the pubes a few times over the years.
So when I got that scream from across the house, “Mom, can I get rid of my pubic hair?” wasn’t totally off-the-wall.
Her hair had been filling in slowly for more than a year and had now reached a point where it was poking out all sides of her underwear. Her request was simple: “Can I shave this?” she asked, pointing at her naked (hair-covered) crotch.
Of course I launched into a litany of reasons that it’s perfectly normal, and she shouldn’t feel like she has to get rid of it, and no one should be seeing that part of her body right now but her and blah, blah, blah, insert droning mom voice here. That part wasn’t new to her; she has several puberty books on her shelves , and I’d explained what pubic hair is the first time she found me trimming.
Her response was pretty much, “Yeah, I know, so, uh, can we talk about shaving now?”
This was not going away. So I asked the obvious question: “Why do you want to shave it?”
“It feels weird,” was the answer, “and it gets stuck in my underwear.”
Hard to argue with that. It’s exactly why I trim — well, that and the fact that long curlies getting stuck in the adhesive on the underside of a light-day pad is pure hell. And while I don’t remember much about being her age, I do remember it being really freakin’ weird to have my body changing in a million ways that I couldn’t control.
This was not to make her look like something out of a porno flick. This was not because of social media or her peers. This was because she’s a kid who is being made uncomfortable by something that doesn’t need to make her uncomfortable.
The first time, I did the shaving to teach her how it’s done. Heeding the warnings that kids tend to get infections from shaving because they’re not terribly good at it, I then picked up a grooming kit that was less than $25, with both an adjustable blade and a guard. She hasn’t gotten to the point where she’s asked to shave again — nor am I pushing her to do it again — but if she does, I’ll be teaching her how to use the kit.
Because growing up is hard. If I can make it just a little bit easier, I will.
