Thanks to pornography, facials a more commonplace sexual fantasy. While ejaculating on a face may seem innocuous, it actually carries a somewhat high risk factor. If you plan to come on someone's face or let someone come on yours, you ought to know how to do it safely.

Some women have even come to enjoy this (or, at least, endure it out of love). Like most sexual activity, however, facials carry a bit of a risk. They may seem like they don't, but the problem rests in the eyes.
Most people don't realize it, but your eyes are a somewhat direct pathway to your bloodstream. All sorts of things can enter your body through them. The Canadian Centre of Occupational Health and Safety knows what I'm talking about and explains risks in regards to chemicals :
Any chemical, whether in the form of a liquid, dust, vapour, gas, aerosol or mist, can contact and enter the eye. For example, the organic solvent toluene can pass through the outer layers of the eye and probably enter the blood stream. During this process it can cause keratitis, an inflammation of the outer layer of the eye.

Of course, we're not talking about organic solvents (hopefully). We're talking about semen, but even that can hurt when entering an eye because it can contain acid phosphatase and citric acid. A man's sperm can also carry all sorts of diseases and infections, like the dreaded HIV, and that's not something you want to transmit or receive if you can help it. Hopefully you wouldn't willfully put yourself or your partner at risk if infected, but it's easy to incur and infection and not necessarily know about it. The Body, a popular HIV resource, explains why the eyes are a point of risk :
It is not enough to come into contact with an infected fluid to become infected. Healthy, unbroken skin does not allow HIV to get into the body; it is an excellent barrier to HIV infection. HIV can enter only through an open cut or sore, or through contact with the mucous membranes in the anus and rectum, the genitals, the mouth, and the eyes.
You have to keep things you don't want in your blood out of your wimpy mucous membranes. That's the moral of the story here. If you want to enjoy the amazing world of facials safely, you have to avoid getting semen in eyes.
It's all fun and games until someone comes in an eye. So don't do that. Ejaculators, try not to hit the eyes. Communicate well enough that your semen target knows they're about to get sprayed. Ejaculatees, close your freakin' eyes! This should come naturally to you, but just in case be prepared. Have a towel next to the bed for quick cleanup. You don't have to freak out if you got semen on your eyelids. Just clean it up and you should be okay. If any does get in your eyes, do what you learned in science class and follow eye wash procedures .
Infection-by-eye cases are rare because it takes some effort to actually get semen in an eye on purpose, plus most people don't realize that's what did it when they're asked about their risky behavior. That said, it still happens and can happen. It's very easy to avoid the problem. Close those eyes, communicate, and you should be just fine.
