There was so much white residue. It looked horrible on dark hair.
Yes! Great for when in a pinch and no more having to blend in a bunch of white powder! There is a slight lighter color, especially with the first few uses. Overall, I’m so happy they make this option.
OK.....I'm very pleased with this dry shampoo - but for a different reason than most reviewers. I'm a woman in my 60s and my hair is thinning on the top - has been for years. I've done all the creative "parting" and "poofing" and finally got to the point where that wasn't enough. I've tried LOTS of products including the hair fibers. They are OK but I had a lot of trouble getting them into my hair after styling. If you put them before styling - I found that they simply brush right out. With the Batiste - I wash and dry my hair - part it into sections and spray onto the thinning areas. I hold the can rather close to my head so that the spray goes more onto my scalp than into my hair. I can then use hot rollers or a curling iron to style my hair and it stays. You can't aggressively brush your scalp and expect it to stay but if you use a comb to style your hair - it will stay just fine. I use a little hairspray and it stays great. I have dark brown hair with some grey mixed in and tried the lighter color first - but it was too light. This color is actually darker than my hair but using it on my scalp - it works perfectly for me. Now I simply would not leave home without using this stuff! It truly makes all the difference in hiding my scalp and I feel so much more confident. I was not a huge fan of the very floral smell at first, but because it works so well for me I continued to use it. Now I barely notice the fragrance at all. For me - where I'm at right now with my thinning hair - it's simply the best and easiest solution I've found. For anyone struggling with thinning hair I would highly recommend that you give this a try. It won't be perfect for everyone, but it's inexpensive enough to at least give it a try. This is not my original idea - I actually saw someone on youtube using it for this purpose and decided to give it a try. It's a stressful issue no doubt so I hope this will help someone else!

I don't smell any scent. Works best in quick short bursts.
I am very new to the dry shampoo market, and after a lot of careful review, I chose to start with Batiste's medium brunette product. Pros: - Smells AMAZING!! - VA-VA-VOLUMIZES hair!!! - Makes hair look clean and fresh! - Lasts for 2-3 days - Reduces scalp visibility in thin hair Cons: - May cause dandruff... the jury's still out... - I'm worried that the color got on items/clothes that I sprayed it around. No stark evidence of this, apart from traces on my hands afterwards. - As a previous reviewer stated, after scratching your head, it does get under your finger nails. - I found that when I did wash my hair after having used this, my hair felt a little stiff at the ends, and overly-oily at the roots. So why did I give it 5 stars? BECAUSE IT IS WORTH ANY OF THE NEGATIVES. I struggle with the fact that I have very thin hair. It's also curly, but it curls in clumps. I.e.: portions of my scalp show whenever I try to do anything with my hair. Even just putting it up in a ponytail! That issue, plus the fact that I have cowlicks that make it appear like I'm showing very early signs of female pattern baldness, have been mortifying me for at least 15 years! This product made all of that go away! It made my hair look and feel thicker AND it even stopped the ridiculously terrible humidity where I live from making my hair into a frizzy deadlocked rats nest! After so many years of struggling and being so embarrassed and self conscious, I've finally found a super low-maintenance product to make me feel more confident about an aspect of my appearance that has been bothering me since puberty. Seriously, I'm addicted. :-D

Delicious smelling dry shampoo
Wow this smells absolutely amazing - unlike previous ones I've tried that are awful smelling- it's easy to use and works a treat to give newly washed hair a bit of oomph 👍
Applying this is like spraying dust on already dirty hair. It does not give the freshness feel to your hair.
