Browsh

I found an interesting thing: a text browser that can work in the terminal and supports HTML5, CSS3, JS, video and WebGL.

https://www.brow.sh can do all this. The trick is that headless Firefox is started which renders all html elements. Further through the extension there is an interception of the screen and sending to Browsh. More information about the internals can be found here: https://www.brow.sh/docs/introduction/
