How can I broadcast to my bot users?
The Livegram Bot TeamTo send a newsletter to users of your bot, go to /mybots, select your bot and click “Broadcast”. Next you need to select a broadcasting option:
- “Send to everyone” is the old mailing list. All bot users will receive your message.
- “To all who connected after…” is the ability to send only to those users who started using your bot after the specified date.
- “To all who connected before…” is the ability to send only to those users who started using your bot before the specified date.
- “Anyone with a username” - only to users who have a username.
- “Each N of all” - let’s say, out of 100 people, a message will be sent to every 10 (can be configured).
- “To all active” - those who were active during the specified period.
- “To all from file” - large bots may require some special mechanism for aggregating users for broadcasting, so they can download the anonymized database of their users with the /my_users command, remove some recipients from the received file, and send newsletter to the remaining users
- “English / Russian / other languages” – send only to English-speaking / Russian-speaking users. For administrators whose bot is designed for different language groups.
Then create the post itself. It is acceptable to use HTML markup. Send /done when the post is ready to go.
