Snow in Brno has last been seen in and so we decided it is high time to go look for it. I missed a bit of snowboarding, my five-year-old daughter wanted to learn how to ski and the little one just wanted to have some fun in the snow. I looked up for some ski resorts nearby and I came across Hodonin u Kunstatu Ski. It took us around an hour to get there. And imagine, we were looking for snow and we brought back some of it. On our way back it was snowing in Brno-yeaa. I was surprised by the number of people. Taking into consideration it is not that far from Brno I expected far more of them. Of course the earlier the better. Around noon the situation changed a bit, but only because several ski schools drove by. The small hill with some slalom toys was separated and every kid eager to learn some new moves could just go there. Ski school costs kc for 50 minutes. I suggest to pack some snacks and beverages for the trip. Even though there is a ski bar , you might not be fully satisfied with the offer. Just the regular: hot-dogs, panini and a Czech style soup. When it comes to the lift prices, there are two options: an hour ticket or points ticket. I made a deal of a lifetime. I bought an hour ticket for kc and went only 4 times. Somehow miscalculated my abilities plus I changed a diaper in the meantime, not mine, fortunately. Depending on how fast you go and how many people are there, choose what suits you best. Meaning the hill is well lit. You can grab your stuff after work and go for a spontaneous quick slide. Lucky you. One or two hours of extreme sport will do just right for everyone.
