Good morning everybody! I am Dilmurod Isakulov. I work as an IELTS instructor in iTeach in Djizakh. Today with you guys, I would like to share my success. I took IELTS test with IDP on December 14 in 2019 and got overall 8.0 band score. 🤗🤗🤗Yes, you heard right. With IDP! My previous score was 7.5 with British Council in May in 2019.☹ See I proved once again that IDP gives IELTS candidates higher score than British Council.😎 How ‘clever’ am I, right?!!!🤔

Hang on a sec!💁‍♂️ I just forgot taking the IELTS test with British Council on December 12 in 2019, just two days before IELTS test with IDP. What! 😯 The same results in IELTS with BRITISH COUNCIL! Can’t believe it!😱 I got 8.0 overall in IELTS with British Council too.🤓 So what does it mean? Now what happens to the idea that IDP is more ‘generous’ than BC when it comes to assessment?🤔

If you ask me, I would say these organizations are doing their own jobs right. It is not their fault if we, candidates, have screwed up in IELTS test. Here below a brief story of my experiences in IELTS tests with both IDP and British Council:

IDP

👂Listening was not that difficult for me, so I cracked 9.0.

📖Reading was quite challenging as the format of passages was untypical. To my surprise, I got 8.0.

✍In writing, I think I got lucky because I can write ‘’process’’ faster than other types like ‘’line graph’’. For the first time in my life, I managed to finish both task 1 and task 2. That’s why I guess I got 7.0 in writing. These days I am busy working on ‘’speed writing’’ LOL😄

🗣In speaking, Ross was my examiner. He was very polite and smiling during the speaking test. I got 7.5

British Council

👂Listening turned out much more challenging though it seemed very easy on the question papers ROFL. I got 8.5

📖Reading, I wouldn’t say , was easier than that of IDP IELTS on December 14. They were equally challenging. I got 9.0

✍In Writing, as usual I screwed up by not finishing task 1. OMG 😱 I got 6.5

🗣In Speaking, my examiner was Alex. Yes Alex! Many say that he is a merciless examiner, he harshly assesses candidates’ speaking skills. But I would not agree with such candidates’ opinions. He has always been nice to me during speaking tests. Didn’t I tell you Alex was my speaking examiner three times in a row? Yes, I took speaking tests three times with Alex. This time I got 7.5

My intention here is to eradicate some stereotypes among IELTS candidates. All examiners are nice. Both IDP and British Council are great. I would encourage you all to stop blaming IELTS test organizers for getting unwanted scores. First, let’s start with ourselves. Let’s focus on our weaknesses rather than trying to find ‘weaknesses’ in IDP or British Council.

🙏Please, do share my post with your friends if you are against such stereotypes.
