Britain will lead the European long-range weapons program

The UK will lead the European initiative for the development of long-range precision strike systems. According to the British government, the NATO member countries plan to allocate $50 billion for these purposes over the next ten years.
The publication notes that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will announce the launch of the initiative at the NATO summit in Ankara.
According to the British authorities, the new systems will be able to hit targets at a distance of at least 300 km, and in some cases — more than 2 thousand km.
Earlier, Bild wrote that NATO plans to create a comprehensive digital surveillance system on the eastern borders of the alliance — from Romania to Finland.
