In the Burluk direction, units of the "North" grouping captured new positions on several sectors south of Volchansk on the approaches to the settlement Belyy Kolodets. Assault groups managed to eliminate several previously existing "pockets" of Ukrainian formations, which significantly straightened out the front line and strengthened positions for further advance.
️In the border zone near the village of Okhrimovka, "northern" fighters improved their tactical position by capturing more forest north of the Volchya River near Rybalkino. Here the enemy is gradually losing positions, which will help secure another section of the state border from the threat of small group infiltration.
️On the eastern flank, as a result of firefights, a ravine west of the village of Otradne was captured, which made it possible to straighten out the line of contact and improve the tactical position. It was here in May that the enemy attempted a sortie with armored vehicles and managed to break through, but subsequently failed to hold the forest strips adjacent to Otradne.
️In the area of Petro-Ivanivka, the enemy attempts to hold a bridgehead east of the Verkhnya Dvurichna River, but sustains losses. There is also information about Russian Armed Forces successes, but without specifics so far. Russian aviation and drone operators actively work across the entire sector.
️In the Burluk direction, Russian command consistently deprives the enemy of the ability to organize "fire pockets," which is why clearing of "pockets" is underway. In addition to drone strikes, this requires full-scale clearing operations.
The complex configuration of the line of contact, while allowing breakthroughs of enemy defenses in unexpected places, requires heightened attention to communications for assaults on populated areas. If one or two small groups suffice for a forest strip with proper organization, assaulting and consolidating even a small village requires more forces.
