5.0 out of 5 stars Love it - took four tries
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 4, 2011
I tried the product after reading about it in Allure. In the old days I had plenty of money to head off to the dermatologist for a little treatment -- now, not so much! So I was happy to read about this in Allure, a reputable source that I trust. It took all four treatments (I wouldn't do half as some people state, I used it all and just rubbed the slight excess onto my hands). After four weeks I looked noticably brighter and smoother. Fine lines are lessened and the dreaded 10x mirror is not quite as scary. For $20 a pop how can you complain about this is my attitude. 10 minutes on and off while you do a few emails. Couldn't be easier. I've recommended this to friends as well.
3.0 out of 5 stars good for beginners

It's a good peel for those just starting out with peels. I have had professional 30% and they will burn. Which is fine, they fan and mist your face. Then after several minutes it's neutralied. I get a little peeling and more dramatic results from it. The Bra.Peel is delivered at once with the neutraliser in the dual syringe. It only heats up in your hand for a sec so it really doesn't deliver any heat to the face. You can't make a mistake with it. I'm using the rest of the syringes ( and btw I only use half and fridge the othe half) as a weekly treatment in btween my prof peels I do 4 times a year. I am 60 and people think I'm in my 40's. Bottom line. I won't buy it again BUT if your new to peeling, this is a good way to work up to something stronger.

I was really excited when i recieved this product from Sephora- i did a lot of homework and this stuff was supposed to be GOOD! I did like the product, it just didn't do much for me. I shared the product with my Mom- using half on my face and half on her. She saw pretty wonderful results! I am 24, shes 50. It made her skin glow! After all 4 uses- I noticed no real differences in my apperance, but it was noticable the day of use only. For my Mom- she overall has a more glowing complexion and she looks more youthful after using this product.

Ordered this product because I was looking for something to help wrinkles and age spots and saw this product discussed on the Dr. Oz show. I saw very little results after 4 applications and this is a very expensive product so I am cautious as to whether or not I want to try it again to see if I see more results.

This isn't a very good time to review, as I have only used one application out of the 4 pc. kit. TherEfore to be fair , I can,t comment on the way it worked. I really need to use more applications to see if there is any difference, I am hoping there will be, This was the BRAZILIAN PEEL

While my skin looked nice after using the Brazilian Peel, I did not really see any long lasting effects. If I had the money to continually buy it, maybe I would see more results.

Little pricey...skin did feel so smooth & soft, but results were very temporary. You can get similar results for around $10 by using over the counter exfoliant mixed with crushed chewable vitamin C

I had read about the Brazilian Peel and was curious to try this product. It is very easy to use, just squirt it into your hand, stir until warm and apply to face and neck area.I was pleased with how it helped to clear up blemishes and tighten pores.I would definitely order this product again through Amazon.

The results weren't worth the price of the product. My skin had minimal softening but I didn't notice any long term improvement.

I use this about once a month (due to high price). That said, it definitely improves my skin. If your skin is sensitive, you might want to first try it on a small area, and always use it at a time when you won't spent much time in the sun such as on a Sunday night when you'll be inside working most of the week. Also, as always, wear a good sun screen when outside.

Teenagers aren’t the only ones suffering from acne. According to a CBS News report, “It’s the most prevalent skin condition in the United States with almost 50 percent of adults suffering from some form of acne.” Yet many adults don’t want to use acne products targeted to teens like Clearasil, Oxy, and Stridex. Now men and women have a new option with the Brazilian Peel Clear Acne Peel Kit by Advanced Home Actives – also the creators of the award-winning Brazilian Peel (non-acne version).
As a teen I combated acne, and decades later this annoying condition continued to pop up (no pun intended) during certain times of the month. I used on-the-spot treatments like the teen products mentioned above to reduce the bumps, but was met with mixed success. I wanted a treatment that was preventative instead of reactive, but as a busy mom I never took the time to research options. When Advanced Home Actives approached me to test the Brazilian Peel Clear Acne Peel Kit, I gladly accepted.
Here is what the Brazilian Peel Acne Peel Kit package stated along with my observations based on 4 weeks of usage.
Due to the ingredients used, the Brazilian Peel Clear Acne Peel kit appears pricey at $60 for a month’s supply (includes 4 weekly peels and 30 Acne Control Booster Pads). However, I have a friend who visits a dermatologist monthly for her acne, and she spends more than that per month for appointments and treatments. Figuring out how much to spend really depends on the level of acne one suffers from and determining what works. Overall I felt the acne peel kit did its job, and I would use it again.

Celebrating the Best of Both Worlds in Bicultural Parenting
The Brazilian Peel Clear is a two-step acne solution. The first step is to use the weekly acne peel that contains salicylic acid acne medication, 25% glycolic acid and açai berry from the Amazon rainforest. The combination of these three ingredients serves to reduce acne, nourish, and brighten the skin. The second step is to use the daily Acne Control Booster Pads which gently exfoliates skin, deep cleans pores, and controls shine.
The package I received was for a 4 week treatment. The weekly acne peel came in an applicator that contained both a white cream and clear gel. I dispensed the applicator’s contents into the palm of my hand and mixed them. I instantly felt a warm sensation that bordered on hot; however, the clear peel was not too hot when applied to my face. After 10 minutes I washed off the peel.
The daily Acne Control Booster Pads were moist with the treatment solution. After washing my face I used the booster pads; when finished I could visibly see the dirt and makeup left behind on the pads.
Awesome. I tend to find these products drying but that’s great you had a good experience and didn’t experience tightness.

If you ask any girl out there, we’ll all tell you that getting, and maintaining, clear skin is a daily battle. And then you add in things like wrinkles and well, it just seems to be a neverending task. We talked with Mac Smith, the founder of the Brazilian Peel , which is a two-step acne treatment that actually brings the peel home to you. Below he talks with us about the benefits of the peel, the science behind Acai, and how to properly treat acne.
1. Can you tell us what exactly a glycolic peel does to-and for- our skin? At age 20, we naturally turn over our skin every week. Shedding old skin cells promotes the natural growth of new skin. With age, this process slows down and old skin builds up. So, we need some help! Glycolic peels exfoliate the upper layer of dead skin cells (superficial epidermis) without any abrasion to uncover the underlying layers of skin. Once the old skin is shed, our body responds by growing new, firm and fresh skin, giving us a younger-looking appearance and the sensation of tighter, firmer, smoother skin! Including exfoliation in a regular regimen is a great way to both prevent aging, and to slowly and gently reverse the signs of aging on the skin.
2. When should we start using glycolic peels, and can we use them if we have sensitive skin? Peels can be used as early as the teens, particularly with acne-prone or oily skin. Sensitive skin requires special precautions that Brazilian Peel offers: no-risk of over-peeling with our patented delivery system, Q-Mag patented neutralizer, special ingredients to combat irritation and the very unique soothing, moisturizing and anti-oxidant properties of acai.
3. If I have acne-prone skin, do I want to stick with products that have salicylic acid or glycolic? Or is a combination of the two best? The combination of salicylic acid and glycolic acid as found only in Brazilian Peel Clear is effective at instantly clearing the pores of acne-causing bacteria and debris and of clearing excess surface oils, in addition to the exfoliation benefits. The added acai and Q-Mag allow Brazilian Peel Clear to treat acne without drying or irritating the skin, and will soothe redness and irritation that often accompanies acne.
4. Your product, the Brazilian Peel, includes Acai how exactly does Acai help the skin? An anti-oxidant, acai reduces environmental stress and quenches free radicals. It moisturizes and protects the skin, reducing irritation and promoting healthy, younger-looking skin. The essence from this super-berry has powerful anti-oxidant, anti-aging and restorative properties and is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B3, vitamins C and E, and in omega acids 3, 6 and 9. Advanced Home Actives is committed to protecting the rainforest and the Amazon estuary by utilizing only sustainably harvested acai.
5. What tips do you have for properly treating acne? 1. Don’t pick. You can cause scarring or infection. 2. Clearing acne is a process, not a one-time event. Stripping oils will over-dry the skin and won’t kill acne bacteria. Brazilian Peel Clear is clinically designed to kill bacteria, clear pores of excess oil and debris and to keep skin balanced without redness or irritation. 3. If you don’t experience significant improvement after 30 days of consistently using Brazilian Peel Clear Weekly Facial Peel and Brazilian Peel Clear Daily Acne Control Booster pads, see your dermatologist. 4. The habit of putting your hands on your face (like when surfing the web or other desk-front activities) can transfer bacteria and dirt to your face. Try not to touch your face to keep it as clean as possible.
6. In terms of anti-aging, when should we start taking preventative measures? You are never too young to begin protecting your skin from aging factors, such as the UV from sun exposure which can be minimized by using daily sun protection (sunny or cloudy days, it does not matter!). Add an exfoliation treatment to your skincare regimen today, regardless of your age or skin type. Regular weekly exfoliation will remove the old skin and keep your body replenishing fresh, new skin.
7. Once you have wrinkles and crows feet, what should we do to minimize their appearances? There are two types of wrinkles: expression lines (those lines that form when the muscles in our face move), and superficial surface wrinkles. Crows feet are expression lines that can be prevented by keeping the skin well-hydrated and exfoliated (but don’t get too close to the eye). Their appearance can be softened with regular use of skincare and exfoliation.
