I'm feeling so discouraged. I really want a bigger butt. One local dr was amazing but gave me a quote of $15k on a bbl which is out of my range. Another dr quoted me $5k but advised against it saying results won't last after a few years and when I'm older it will sag, even after I told him I work out. He informed me I would benefit most from minimal lipo sculpture. So is it really worth it in the long run?
Dear Mamita,  You will hear or read different opinions about your question which is an excellent question. All I can tell you is , that according to many patients of mine, who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery, the fat disappeared completely or almost completely after 6 - 12 months . The disappointing fat injection procedures that were done by other surgeons, convinced me not to do that surgery in my practice. Large amounts of fat injection to the butts, are physiologically illogical, because you can not expect the fat to survive without good circulation. Think about it, if fat injection would have been consistent and reliable, breasts augmentation with implants would have disappeared from the market or their numbers would have declined dramatically. The reality is that last year , breasts augmentation with implants, were the number one cosmetic surgery in the US... Your best option is semi solid silicone implants. They do not disappear and when done correctly the butts look very natural and attractive. However , not all results are the same because there are different techniques and the implants come in different shapes, size and softness. So , do your due diligence and choose wisely. Consult only with board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Check also the 'realself' reviews for positive patients experience which provides important information on the plastic surgeons.          Best of luck,                    Dr Widder

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
After a BBL, about 80% of the transferred fat cells will survive, but this should last permanently, with exercise and a clean diet. Lifting, squats and lunges after a BBL will only help increase muscle bulk and definition and achieve a more projected buttocks.
In the Dominican Republic, we have excellent doctors, great professionals, and most importantly, board certified plastic surgeons, that you can choose from.
Thank you for the question and provided information as well.
The average cost varies a lot depending on the clinic, the country, city and the plastic surgeon. It also depends on the number of areas treated with liposuction. I suggest you to book a consultation to discuss the best options for your goals.
Good luck :)

Surgeons generally charge depending on how long a procedure takes. A $5000 procedure would be very short and this can represent about an hour of surgical time in my practice. In my opinion, this procedure can't be done properly in one hour, unless someone does this all the time. I have seen some of the experts in the fat grafting field do this with specialized equipment and are extremely efficient at this. Most of us will take 3 hours to carefully harvest, prepare and graft the fat. I would trust the surgeon with a higher fee as his technique will probably give you a long-lasting result that you will be happy with.

Brazilian Limeade is creamy, tangy and sweet and is a wonderful and refreshing drink for summer or any time of the year. And the best thing about making this limeade is that you can simply throw the limes quarters in the blender!
Ever since learning about Brazilian Limeade I can't seem to stop drinking it. I'm very thankful to my friend Liliana in Colombia who told me about this delicious drink. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did! Just be sure to serve it immediately, as it gets bitter after a while.
My name is Erica and I was born and raised in Colombia and now live in the northeastern United States with my husband and family. This blog was inspired by my grandmother, Mamita, who was an amazing traditional Colombian cook.
I bet it was sweet and creamy with the condensed milk.
Hi Erica!! I suppose you have already had "Limonada de Coco" (Coconut Lemonade). In case not, the recipe is quite simple. Blend equal parts lime juice and coconut milk with 1/2 part sugar or of course to suit taste. However, this might be a good starting point and you can tweak from there. Add crushed ice and blend some more. Very, very good!! You can also add some white rum to turn it into a cocktail, or as we say here "Bautizarlo" (Baptize it), LOL!! Costeño culture!!
Have a great day!! If anybody else decides to try it, I'd love to hear their comments.
It is the condensed milk that is making this limeade rock. Very refreshing.
MMmmm... Yummy perfect for the summer.
This does look refreshing. I'd imagine that the drink is tart and creamy and a bit bitter from all the lime pith. Quite adult in flavor.
Unfortunately limes are hard to find and quite expensive, as there is no local production, so I don't use them often but it sounds wonderful. I noticed that it is called limonada, is it the same when using lemons?
Your's looks yummy too!!! As usual...:))
Erica, this looks fantastic! I am making this right away! I always have limes and sweetened condensed milk on hand!
I bet this is absolutely wonderful!
IVY: I think it is called limonada...since we call LIMON these green fruits. Lime for us is another kind of fruit that is not sour at all. (In Colombia). The yellow looking fruit that in US is called Lime, for us is a Lima-limon since it looks between a lemon ( the greeen one & the other sweet fruit LIMA).
I hope it is not too confusing.
When I think of a lemon( limon) I think of these green ones.
What a treat this is! I love the idea of combining condensed milk.
Erica...I remember this lemonade from Brazil...and you just reminded me about it 🙂 Yours look delicious, absolutely refreshing.
Hope you are having a fantastic week!
wow great drink looks so creamy and good
Reminds me of "morir sonando". I coul surely use a glass here in PR.
Delicious! I improvised a bit since I didn't have sweetened condensed milk... blended the limes with milk, sugar, and a bit of ice (no water) then strained.
In place of the condensed milk, I used cream of coconut instead....AMAZING! my kids ask me for this drink every time we grill out..especially if its seafood, LOL.
That's a bit watery for my taste, so I used 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup condensed milk, 1/3 cup + 4 tsp lime juice, and 4 cups water. Very milky. 🙂

As promised a couple of weeks ago, after making the Egyptian Tiger Nut Sweets , I found a recipe to make Brazilian Brigadeiros with the girls. This is probably the best known Brazilian sweet, always found at children’s birthday parties and family celebrations. Its origin dates from around the time of WW2, when access to fruits and sweets was rather limited. People got creative, so using condensed milk (introduced to Brazil in the 20’s), cocoa powder and butter they concocted the now famous bite-sized fudge ball. The sweet got its name after Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, a hero of the Copacabana fort revolt of 1922. He ran for president in 1945 under the slogan “Vote for the Brigadier, who’s good looking and single.” That was the first time women voted in Brazil, but unfortunately for the Brigadier, the only thing he won was a very popular sweet. I looked for several different recipes, and mainly they all come to these basic steps: cooking sweetened condensed milk with butter and cocoa powder, then waiting for the mix to cool off and then rolling them into small balls that are then covered with chocolate sprinkles (or other type of cover, such as coconut, nonpareils, etc). I decided to try out and make ours with the ingredients I like. So, here’s our recipe for Dark Chocolate and Nutella Brigadeiros.
Hi, Erika!
Thanks for linking back to my site.
What a great idea to add Nutella, a favorite of all, to the traditional brigadeiro recipe. Your brigadeiros look super fudgylicious! I am drooling…
You’re very welcome! Did u know that Brazil.com featured the recipe with links to both of us? I was very excited! Thanks for stoping by and I absolutely adore your Brigadeiro picture!
Ok. I’m coming over. I need to try these!!!!
Oh wow, these look incredible! My girls would adore them – if they could prise them off me! Thanks so much for joining in with #FoodieFriday – This is this week’s featured post. Congratulations x
Thanks, Helen! I’m honored! I’ve been missing the #FoodieFriday, so I’m glad to be back, and featured too! Thanks, and let me know what you think of them when you make them!
I love the idea of reading a book and making something that goes with it! These brigadeiros look delicious! I may have to try this book/dessert combo with the kids!
We’ve been doing this story-recipe combo for a year now! If you ever need more inspiration or ideas of cooking with books, check out the section of books and stories under Children’s books
