This shocking footage shows a girl dressed in a pretty dress savagely attacking a boy in school grounds .
She can be seen jumping on her victim's back as he tries to get up off the floor, kneeing him in the head and pulling him by the hair.
Within seconds of the video starting a teacher comes into shot and the girl makes a run for it.
The teacher can be heard screaming: “Get that girl. Right now. Who is that girl?” before running after the attacker as she gets to the school gates.
The video was shared on Facebook and has been viewed more than 13 million times on the social media site, since it was shot last Thursday.
Neither the girl nor the boy is easily identifiable in the video.
Headteacher Kathleen Hawing of the Sonoma Valley High School in San Francisco, USA, confirmed the fight took place in the school grounds.
She believed the girl, who is a pupil at a nearby school, should not have been on campus.
Police were not called although a medic was asked to check on the boy's condition.
The video shows over 13 million views , and more than 111,000 likes.
Some comments applaud the girl for beating up the boy, suggesting he was a bully who got what he deserved.
But Mrs Hawing said: “We never condone violence in any shape or form."
"People are commenting on Facebook without any knowledge of the incident, and it's just unfortunate that those are the things we deal with."
She added that a request had been made to Facebook to remove the video, but the social media company is yet to respond.
