That beautiful city is waiting for you! Come meet us.

Brazilians have a reputation for knowing a thing or two about throwing a good party. Maybe its because of Carnival, maybe it's because of its diverse mix of cultures, or maybe its just because they really do like a good old fashioned fiesta.
The country's got a great climate, beautiful landscapes and an even more beautiful population, so it only makes sense that they like to celebrate.
Brazil's music festival scene ranges from intimate charmers on the beach to extravagant urban behemoths. It wasn't easy, but someone had to do it. Here are ten of the best music festivals in Brazil.
Lineup: Drake, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden, P!nk, Muse, Imagine Dragons
The ultimate musical experience in South America, Rock in Rio is one of the largest festivals in the world. Presenting the biggest names in pop, rock and beyond, the festival should be on any music lover's bucket list. Back in Rio de Janeiro where it all started in 1985, expect nothing short of the most outrageous festival experience possible.

Bateria Alegria is the primary performing ensemble of the Boulder Samba School, composed of 20-30 percussionists and led by Music Director Carl Dixon. The ensemble plays percussion-based styles of music from Rio de Janeiro (samba batucada) and Salvador (samba reggae). The music incorporates a mixture of African, European, and indigenous influences and traditions. These styles of music are traditionally played during the carnival parades throughout Brazil and can be heard in Brazilian concert stages, dance clubs, neighborhoods, and soccer matches.
Luciana Da Silva : Native Brazilian Luciana da Silva shares Brazilian dance with audiences and students around the world as presenter, collaborator, performer, and teacher. Join Luciana where femininity, rhythm and authentic culture meet a need for fun and human connection, where women and men long to develop these qualities in their dancing, and where children and seniors want to learn the joyful culture of Brazil.
The Dexter Payne Quintet blends five distinct quintessential elements. These friends, far from a convenient or accidental jazz date, are more like a secret alchemical convocation nurtured over the last 10 years. The music is animated, driving, breath-taking and humorous. Virtuosity and joie de vie combine with collective subtlety and telepathic familiarity to make every uplifting performance a surprise. The Quintet plays Brazilian choro jazz, a tradition with roots in the 19th century, which inspired and influenced the birth of samba and bossa nova. Still very much alive in Brazil today, choro has a creative and evolving northern outpost in DPQ.
Band: Dexter Payne (Clarinet), Bill Kopper (6 & 7 string guitar), Raoul Rossiter (Drums & percussion), Dave Willey (Accordion), and Victor Mestas (Piano)

As vocalist and guitarist, she began to play internationally when invited to perform two tours of Germany with a Choro/Samba band as lead singer. Michele is proud to say she grew up in the Rocinha favela where she draws much of her musical inspiration and appreciation. While she draws inspiration from a number of artists, Elis Regina and Rosa Passos have influenced her work the most. Her vocal repertoire includes Samba, Bossa Nova, Brazilian Pop & Rock, MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira), Choro and Forró. She also plays a variety of Brazilian percussion instruments. Michele loves exploring the Colorado music scene and sharing her culture and music with a new public.

Ginga: Cultivated in Boulder, Colorado and composed of some of the best jazz, classical and salsa musicians on the Front Range, Ginga is the powerhouse Brazilian band in Colorado.
