I did the big chop a little over a year ago and have spent hundreds of dollars in trying to find the right combination of products for my 3C/4A combination hair. In order to get my hair and the curls at it’s most hydrated and defined state, I have to drench my hair in water every day, only to have it become frizzy at the end of the day if I played with it even a little bit. Trying this product was my last ditch effort before going back to texturizing, which I did not want to do because I really have enjoyed discovering my natural curls. I have dark brown hair and purchased the red color product to see if I could get some kind of color, while also having the desired soft and shiny effects. This product is unbelievable! My curls were looser immediately after rinsing out the majority of the product, as per the directions, but I did not lose my natural curl pattern, they just became more loose. That result would’ve been good enough for me, because that is what I was looking for, is to manage the immense amount of shrinkage that I usually have with my curls. But I decided to do the whole thing as directed and see what happens. All I can say is wow!!! My hair looks and feels like it was relaxed but it’s not bone straight and has volume. The great thing is that the color took so incredibly well that I just can’t believe the results. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the hair color! I am so very thankful that I will not have to give up my natural texture and still find ways of managing my hair and wearing different styles.

So first, i have fine hair with mild waves, 2a hair or a bit straighter. But the front corners of the forehead area, for whatever reason grows out with a much stronger wave and because of this I've used hot tools only in that area to loosen that wavy part a bit while the rest of the hair i air dry. The constant heat has damaged that small portion, the hair is dry, frizzy, dull, puffy, just horrible. So i purchased a small one of this to apply only in the front and OMG problem solved!!! And i didnt flat iron as many times as directed on one side because my baby woke up and had to rush out. After application my hair was soft and frizz free even on a rainy humid florida weather day. Today i washed my hair for the first time (5 days after application and air dried my hair and no frizz or puffiness. I will follow instructions to the T next time because the side that i didn't flat iron enough is a bit more wavy then the other but still looks good and no need to use the hot tools. I will but again, forever if needed!

I decided to write a review because I don’t understand all the negative reviews. Maybe I’ve been lucky. I’ve done this over 4 times already with great results. I’ve purchased this product here on Amazon every time. You have to know what your doing and apply the product correctly and follow all directions exactly. You need to wear gloves and be careful to not let product go on your face or hands or any skin really bc it will irritate it. This product does not straighten hair. It just adds shine and removes frizz for a more manageable silkier shiny hair. I have wavy hair and if I just air dry my hair it will get super frizzy since using this product when I air dry my hair there’s zero frizz and just a wavy look. When I blow dry my hair my hair dries twice as fast and I use a round brush to straighten and dry without having to pull my hair as tight. I don’t need to flat iron. This product is not like a Brazilian blowout more like the “ baby Botox” treatment which is a softer and not as harsh as the Brazilian. I’m super happy with my results and it lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 months.
