Just after a bit of advice! My son is 8 nearly 9 and I have been trying to encourage him to clean his winky (sorry but I can't stand the word penis for a young boy lol) for about 6 months as from time to time I was finding white chalky like patches in his boxers and on his pyjamas etc. He didn't complain of being sore and there was no redness so initially I put this down to normal type secretions but then began to worry it could be a sign of needing to clean more thoroughly. I explained to him what to do and encouraged him do it when he's in the bath and I continue to talk him through what to do but he says it's painful and he can only pull it back enough to just see the head a little. I've tried persevering with him and encouaraging him but now i'm wondering whether it's time I took him to see the doctor? I find it awkward as i'm not with his dad and we don't have a good relationship so cannot really discuss it together and although I have a new husband, he doesn't feel comfortable doing this with him either.Advice would be gratefully received!!
