A child died in Girona (Spain) on May 7, 2017. A girl was tossed 20ft in the air from a bouncy castle on Gorleston beach, Norfolk, UK on 01 July 2018. She passed away of her injuries in medical facility. In December 2021, 6 children died and 3 others were seriously injured in a jumping castle event in Devonport, Tasmania, Australia.

Jumping castles were banned from usage by schools in Tasmania until further notification soon after. Two women, aged 4 and 8, were eliminated after a gust of wind raised a jumping castle into the air in Mislata, Spain on 4 January 2022. The eight-year-old passed away the following day whereas the four-year-old passed away one week after the occasion.
