There is something saucy about side boob, something retro about ‘side vag’ but a shot of one’s pelvic region might take a while to catch on.
Actress Blanca Blanco suffered a major wardrobe malfunction while posing for photos on the red carpet of the 89th Academy Awards .
Blanco, who is known for her appearances in Teen Star Academy and Showgirls 2 , attended the event in a yellow gown with wing-like shoulder detailing.
The outfit seemed flawless until the actress posed for photos while standing on her side and her dress slit came away from her body.
The side-view meant photographers captured her seemingly underpants-free look. It should be noted that many actresses wear modesty patches over their genitalia in order to pull off these kinds of 'nude' looks.
The slip-up is reminiscent of when Chrissy Teigen's flashed the top of her pubic region while posing for photos at the American Music Awards in late 2016.
Teigen turned her slip-up into a positive by laughing about it on social media after the photos were released. Hopefully Blanco will channel similar levels of lighthearted self-deprecation.

It wouldn’t be an awards ceremony unless there’s a wardrobe malfunction. At tonight’s 89th Annual Academy Awards , we didn’t have to wait long for one!
While on the red carpet, actress Blanca Blanco wore a stunning yellow gown that was cinched around her waist with a metal belt. Her beautiful puffy sleeves SHOULD have been the main focus, however, it turned out to be the dress’ very high slit.
The cameras weren’t the only thing flashing on that red carpet! Every time Blanca Blanco turned to strut her stuff, she gave a sneak peek at her vagina . Yes, ladies and gentleman, we saw her ladybits, and she was definitely going commando!
The actress, best known for her movies Teen Star Academy and Showgirls 2 , probably didn’t expect to make such a splash, but alas, this is live TV and Hollywood. You know how it goes!
Unfortunately, Blanca Blanco has already made E!’s Worst Dressed List , and the Oscars aren’t even over!
But this stuff happens all the time.
Is she upset about it? NO! And neither should you, you, or YOU!
Seriously, people, shouldn’t we be a little more adult about these things?

It's Hollywoods most glamorous night of the year, but despite months of rigorous planning, fashion at the Oscars can go very, very wrong.
Over the years the Academy Awards red carpet has seen many an A Lister fall victim to a whole number of sartorial disasters from nip slips to knicker flashes - proving they are only human after all.
As anticipation builds for the 2018 Awards on Sunday, we take a look back at some of the most scandalous fashion fails of all time.
Musician St Vincent looked like a tribute to Liza Minnelli in Cabaret as she sported a short black dress with batwing hemline, huge oversized shoulder sleeve and bow belt with a feathered hat. at the 2018 event.
St Vincent even described her get up as a "dominatrix in a mental institution" which pretty much hits the nail on the head.
She was performing at the ceremony with former bandmate Sufjan Stevens, but that's still no excuse for such a bizarre assault on the eyes, even if you have got a cracking set of pins to flash.
The actual legendary actress Liza Minnelli turned heads when she bravely went bra-less on the red carpet.
Back in 2014, Liza suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction when her nip-shields were exposed through her top.
The 71-year-old star was aiming to get noticed dressed head to toe in striking blue - and even sporting a matching streak in her hair - but her decision not to go sans underwear became the talking point instead.
Poor Mariah Carey became victim to a fashion fail when she headed to the Vanity Fair after party in 2017 - suffering the dreaded nip slip.
While the pop diva looked stunning in a jungle print gown, the plunging neckline could barely contain her ample bosom.

On the night she picked up the Best Supporting Actress gong, Anne Hathway was determined to look her best.
And the Les Miserables star looked nothing short of stunning in a pastel pink Dior gown, wearing her elfin crop swept to the side and soft pink make up.
But critics were split down the middle, debating whether Anne was looking a little cold or it merely the cut of her stunning Dior gown that made her nipples appear to stand out on the red capet.
2015 was the year Oscar night gowns went rogue and raised a few eyebrows.
Emma Stone , 27, exposed her underwear in a dress slashed to the thigh.
Struggling to walk in her floor length gown the La La Land actress inadvertently flashed off her nude knickers as she held her gold Elie Saab sequinned gown off the ground.
At the 2012 Academy Awards Jennifer Lopez took to the stage with Cameron Diaz to present two awards.
Unfortunately, it wasn't just the winners that got viewers talking.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that JLo's nipples appeared to be making a break for freedom under her plunging silver gown.
The singer's stylist later spoke out to dismiss the reports about her custom-made dress and said it was merely a shadow viewers were noticing.

Ah, the Oscars . A night of glamorous celebrities, breathtaking gowns, endless class, a boat-load of money and, well, at least one bare vagina.
If you're like me, maybe you've thought about what you would wear on a red carpet if given the opportunity, and for me, it has never involved a slit higher than my thigh.
A tiara? Sure. Some underboob? Maybe. But my hoo-ha? Never.
Apparently, this makes me pretty "blah," because ladies, crotches are IN. Bikini lines are IN. No undies and only honies (ew I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry) are IN.
Following in the infamous footsteps (or dare I say, pussy power steps?) of Chrissy Teigen's lady zone , actress Blanca Blanco took to the red carpet in a revealing gold dress, at least from the waist down, and accidentally flashed her glam-glam to the world.
To be fair, it looks like some of the fabric of the dress may have been misplaced on her shoulder ruffles when it could have given another inch or two around her waist.
Fortunately, Blanco is in good hands as model and social icon Chrissy Teigen suffered a similar wardrobe malfunction at the American Music Awards, showing just a little more than intended in a slinky black gown with a similar high slit.
The trick seems to be finding a way to display your profile and mange to keep the dress DOWN and the fabric at bay.
Blanco, however, can take a page out of Teigen's "How To Survive Showing The World Your Vagina " book, and quickly craft a cheeky tweet.
Teigen, the forever hilarious self-deprecator , wrote,
Confirming that the one thing we all need to keep in mind if we DO ever end up on a red carpet is we better keep a laser hair removalist on speed dial.
