Blackpink’s Lisa is finally releasing her solo debut album! On August 22, the singer teased her music by sharing the poster for her upcoming release.
The announcement comes months after fans have been discussing the possibility of Lisa’s solo release. Many were convinced that Lisa had been working on new music as there had been multiple clues laid out on social media.
At the same time, after Rosé brought out her solo, fans were certain that Lisa’s would be next. Now, we finally have official confirmation!
On August 22, Blackpink and YG Entertainment’s official social media channels shared the poster for Lisa’s upcoming solo debut. In the picture, the singer is seen sitting on the floor in a red and blue attire.
The poster features the words “Coming soon Lisa” on it. The other band members also teased the music by sharing it on their respective social media handles.
It did not take long for Blackpink fans to react to the announcement. In fact, some were not surprised as there had been many clues that hinted her solo release was in the works.
Last week, a leaked chat had hinted that the pre-order for Lisa’s album would be starting soon. This came days after South Korea’s music chart, Melon, confirmed that Lisa would be dropping her solo.
Moreover, an article Naver released for Blackpink’s anniversary confirmed the same. If the rumors are to be believed, YG Entertainment might be releasing more details in the coming days.
To add to this, Lisa’s collab with DJ Snake has been confirmed by the latter through an announcement on social media. In June, DJ Snake revealed more details while replying to a fan.
A fan asked: “DJ Snake feat Lisa and Selena Gomez.” To this, DJ Snake replied: “Nope.”
Following this, another user questioned him. This time, the tweet by the fan read: “DJ Snake ft Lisa?” To this, he replied: “YES” along with a GIF.
In the same thread, DJ Snake also confirmed that the song was done.

Yes, Lisa has already filmed the music video! Last month, YG Entertainment confirmed the news.
As per Soompi, YG Entertainment claimed: “Lisa will film the music video for her new song this week. She will be making her solo debut this summer.” At the moment, it is unclear how many songs Lisa will be releasing.
Her fellow band member, Rosé, had released two songs in her solo debut album R. Fans will just have to wait for more details to release regarding Lisa’s upcoming music.

YG Entertainment Teases BLACKPINK's Lisa Solo Debut
Following months of rumors.
Following months of rumors, YG Entertainment has now confirmed the solo debut of BLACKPINK‘s Lisa.
Taking to social media the South Korean entertainment company delivered a series of teasers. Marked with “COMING SOON,” the blurred evocative image shows the Lalisa Manoban, better known by the mononym Lisa, in a bright red outfit offering a look at the theme of the upcoming release rumored to feature an array of guest collaborators. Last month, YG Entertainment revealed to HYPEBAE that the Thai K-pop superstar has already shot the music video for her solo debut.
Lisa will be the third member of BLACKPINK to have a solo debut, following Jennie‘s “Solo” release back in 2018 and Rosé‘s two-track EP “R” earlier this year.
