Last summer me, mom and my step dad when to the beach for a week. It was fucking awful between their fighting and having neither him or me having any say in anything we did (we just wanted to go drink a few and fish, that's all we asked to go do)
My step dad got drunk after another fight and went to the beach while her and I went to dinner at some fancy French restaurant. As soon as we were away, she called up her boytoy (I'm pretty sure he heard me call him a piece of shit in the background). I'd already asked her to not do that shit around me but proceeded to ignore me, not caring it made me uncomfortable.
Several years ago she cheated on my step dad with his best friend and several others. Shit got ugly but they begrudgingly "worked through it" (he still calls her out on it every time he drinks too much). She took our trip to the beach and an opportunity to do it again.
In return for my silence, she pays my $220 car insurance a month. I want to tell him do they'll finally get divorced (been talking about it for years now) but I want the money.
Nothing good is coming from the situation anyway so you might as well get SOMETHING good out of it. In this case it's $220 per month. Keep taking the money. This might sound like bad advice but think about it. Telling your dad will just make it worse and then you get to deal with all that shit AND your car insurance. Keep the money.
