Product come in handy. Love the abalone, show up very beautiful.
Very expensive Ibanez custom made Prestige guitar. All the hardware shows major wear after living on Maui for 15 years. You can see in the picture how the tremolo bar and pickup housing are pockmarked. Slowly replacing it all. Bought these to replace the old knobs. Really look nice. The knob posts on my guitar are split, so were a bit tough getting these on, but squeezed the posts with pliers a little and these slid right on snuggly.

Although these are described for Telecasters, I installed them on a Super Strat-type guitar with no issues. The huge thing to remember is that since the abalone is a natural substance, you most likely won’t get a matched set. You can see in one of my photos that one knob is a completely different pattern and color than the other. If you are very particular about things like that then this won’t be the product for you. I found the mismatched look silly at first but have grown to love them. Installation was very simple. Remember, if you have a split shaft, you want to make sure the set screw goes into the split space and not onto a solid surface of the shaft. Tighten until snug and voila! The knobs do their main job at a cheap price. The looks are just an added plus! **Make sure you know the diameter of your shaft before you buy any knobs online!**

I recently upgraded all the electronics in my Tele and bought these because the original ones my guitar had were too small for the new pots. Bought these as they were advertised as "Tele" knobs. I had a live event I was playing and the first shipment of these was "delivered" but never at my door. They sent me a replacement. They literally got here as a was walking out to head to my live event. Took them out of the package and was surprised when they did not fit my Tele. They were too small. I had to play without knobs. Got home the next day and grabbed my tools. 1/4 drill bit later, they were installed in my Tele. Gave three stars because the overall construction of them is great so far but could not install them without modification first.
Purchased these to match the abalone binding on my guitar. While they arent really designed for my pots, I did manage to get to to work just fine.

I put these knobs on a custom-build bass with a Koa top, as I love abalone with Koa. However, the quality of these knobs is very poor if you care about details. I ordered two sets (I needed 3 knobs), and two of the 4 knobs had flat spots pressed into the abalone. It looks like when they tried to press the inlay onto the knob, they flattened out a spot of the curved inlay by pressing too hard. The inlays are put in at varying depths from the top of the knob. One creates a nearly perfect dome, one is crooked, and two are inset and not flush with the top of the metal knob. Either the flush or the inset would be fine if they were consistent... Once the knobs are on, the holes from the shafts are not even concentric with the outside of the knob! So as you rotate the knob, you can watch it wobble back and forth because they are not manufactured well. Overall, they are "pretty" if you look from a distance and don't care about the details. If you have a nice instrument where the details are important, these are not for you.

Warning! Does not fit a Telecaster!!
So, these knobs are sold as “Telecaster” knobs? The only problem is they DO NOT fit my Tele! I have a 2011 Fender Telecaster (Mexican built, so mid-range price wise). These knobs will not fit unless I was to drill them out to make the spigot hole bigger. Something I’m not willing to do. The build quality of the knobs is pretty good, and the inlays on them look great. However, I’d suggest thinking twice about purchasing these if you have a Mexican Tele.... or indeed an American custom shop model, judging by other reviews on here because, in all likelihood, they won’t fit.

These look nice but the hole is machined too small to fit my American telecaster. Can be made to fit if you drill the holes out a bit.

Albalone is not the displayed colour
Massive scratch/chunk on top of each knob also wrong colour. Advert shows a black/green abalone. But these are white/blue.
