So why do black women have bigger butts? It does seem true, watch BETA or MTV sometime and you will notice the trend as well. Even music is and has been exemplifying this theory for years. One theory answering the question is simply GENETICS! But even this theory has several interpretations / reasons. The first idea is simple anatomical differences such as higher ribcage, difference in the curvature of the spine, etc. This list can go on and on and also be argued as true or false. What we DO know however, is that genetics will always be on a constant change. Take a woman with a family history of large butts for example. Now this woman produces offspring with a man who has a family history of flat butts. Depending on whose genetics happen to affect the resulting offspring's physical appearances, genetics can and does alter over time. Let's say the offspring in this case results in a flat butt. Now this child once grown has a child with another person who also has a trend of flat butts in their family history. The trend to maintain a flat butt is now increased for the next round of offspring and so on. The same is true in the opposite direction resulting in bigger butts, so essentially genetics are ever evolving and changing.

Another theory is more geographically based. Some studies are trying to associate climatic conditions to the bigger butt size. One theory found in a quick Google search, explains why do black women have bigger butts. The theory is that the added fat stores found in black women's butts are purely a natural survival evolution. Black women originate generally from hot arid portions of the globe with low water and food supplies. The body in turn creates a storehouse of fat in which to utilize during lean times such as drought and famine. This "fat storehouse" can then be used during these harsh conditions to have a survival edge. This is especially important to maintain the ability to produce children. If the mother is starving, an infant will have no nourishment available from the mother.

Survival of the fittest, evolution, genetics... it is a debate that will likely have no end. Granted we better ourselves as professionals by strengthening our skill sets and advancing our education — there’s no denying that physical attributes can come into play. Does having a huge tush mean you can be more successful? It sounds silly though it doesn’t seem to hurt when it comes to pop culture.
Here’s a look at 10 celebrities with big butts. Obviously there are a lot more, but we didn’t have enough room for all those butts! Do you think their donk has made them successful?
One entertainer who is not afraid to show off her tush is Nicki Minaj. The hip hop entertainer just released the video for her single “Anaconda” that didn’t seem to hold back on the twerking, putting her booty front and center. All jokes aside, the Queens-by-way-of-Trinidad and Tobago rapper has paved her own way. Recently surpassing Michael Jackson with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 Hits list. She’s noted as one of the most influential female rap per s of all time and has won several Billboard and American Music Awards.
Estimated to be worth somewhere around $65 million, Kim Kardashian is without a doubt one of the most successful reality stars in the history of the relatively young genre. She is the first Latina to ever receive a Billboard Icon Award — and even beat out former flame Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to acquire an entertainment network, Fuse, a multi-million dollar deal.

Although Serena Williams had to pull out of Wimbledon , she is still a force on the tennis court. As it stands she is the only female tennis player to ever earn over $50 million playing tennis, is a four-time Olympic gold medalist, and has countless titles and championships under her name. Guess these are reasons why she is estimated to have a net worth of $100 million.
“Fancy” rapper Iggy Azalea might be new to the scene, but is making her mark on the industry. The Australian artist was able to make her own history as the only artist outside the Beatles to rank simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 list with songs in both the number one and two positions. Iggy recently sent Lil Kim retirement papers as she now has the longest-running number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 list.
Some might argue she lost too much weight, but Sofia Vergara is still pretty curvy. The Colombian native has created an empire that extends beyond her physique — though it certainly has come in handy. Her character on Modern Family has made her the highest paid actress on television . She even ranks in the top 50 of the world’s most powerful women . Sofia’s endorsements have been a success — including ventures of her own with company Latin World Entertainment.
Depending on her diet regimen, Beyoncé will have a donk. The reigning R&B diva doesn’t need an introduction as she is the world’s most powerful celebrity . Her recent On the Run tour with husband Jay Z earned a cool $100 million that helps keep them the highest earning couple in the game. Her fifth studio album Beyoncé sold $1 million copies in a week. With a college course named after her and a pipeline of endorsements, Queen Bey is certainly here to stay.
There’s no denying that Ice T’s wife Coco has done her best to make the most of her fame. When their reality series Ice Loves Coco hit the air, it appeared that many of us wanted to know more about Mrs. Tea — and if that tush was real.
