In this colonial era, several slaves composed significant works ⚙️ in which the horrors of slavery were documented 📃 and ➕ which contributed to the abolition of slavery. Outstanding among these works ⚙️ are Olaudah Equianos and ➕ Mary Princes 🤴 autobiographical accounts, which give 🎁➡️ the reader an authentic insight into the construction 🏗️ of their Black ⚫️ British 🇬🇧 identities.
